USC doesnt get worked up about conference championships. Once you win a few NCs you'll feel the same way.

Cal was a hell of a program back in that era. It was during that time when they were the main protagonists in trying to narrow the conference and exclude all but UW from the NW. UCLA was with them as well, but not as vocal. Them Cal bitches could ball, but they didn't think their shit stank and had some huge sticks in their asses. Seems Karma came back to bite them in a bad way.

Of course every team had their skeletons back then. Every damned one of us. All were cheating in one way or another. Money going to players? Yep, all of us. And everyone tattled on everyone else. Good times, good times.

28 straight losing seasons in a row has a way of "hardening" a simplistic man Whiz.

Beavs just need about 8 "elite" recruits committed to our program now. I say 4 years tops and probably only two before we see em on the field.

As a NW native who spent many weekends visiting friends in Pullman, you would be pissed if you had to live there for 4-7 years too. Why do you think they drink so much? Heck the only reason to go to Pullman is cheap booze, a decent journalism school and a top notch vet. med. program.
