Yea Just about the time free agency took hold along with outrages sanctions. FUCLA would have been beaten 50 to nothing against every opponent over the past 4 years if they were under the same restrictions, so maybe you should just calm down with your chest thumping rhetoric there sparky
Gotta LOL at you telling me to calm down after reading your post.

I'm sure the first goal of every HC who plays in a division is 'win the division' and the rest will follow.

Don't argue with Ducks about their Rose bowl appearances. I mean it's not like they've had that many so it's not hard for them to get them straight.

yes and no. 1916 game for the 1915 season just like it is now. this was actually the first game with the name Rose Bowl.
so Oregon played in the 1917 game for the 1916 season beating Pennsylvania 14-0 and it was the Rose Bowl.
That would be odd, since the Rose Bowl itself was not built until 1922. Why would they name the game after a stadium that had not yet been built?

The 1917 Tournament East-West Football Game would not have been called a "bowl game" since a "bowl" was a name given to a stadium - not to a game (such as the "Baker Bowl" in which the Philadelphia Phillies used to play.)

But, on New Year's Day 1916 football returned to stay as The State College of Washington (now Washington State University) defeated Brown University in the first annual Rose Bowl with that explicit name.

According to Wikipedia, Washington was the PCC campion, and oregon was selected for the rose bowl.

If that makes a difference in anything. Why are you guys talking about the 1916 PCC standings? I mean, I like tradition and reflecting on past glory as much as the next guy, but the 1916 season... I don't even think washington had the sun dodger mascot at that point...

Only one team could go to the Rose Bowl and Oregon was chosen or won a coin flip. Shared title was shared.
Does USC claim 7 in a row under Carroll or do they say 7 in a row but 3 were shared.

No it was not.
Rose Bowl History
"The most well known event of the Rose Bowl is the game now known as the Rose Bowl Game which was played at Tournament Park until 1922."
Games

The First Rose Bowl Game was USC vs Penn State in 1923.
The previous games were called the Tournament of Roses Game.
NOW it is considered a Rose Bowl game but it was not the Rose Bowl when played.

I choose to take it up with the Tournament of Roses. Here is a snippet of a trivia game posted on the Tournament of Roses (Rose Bowl Game) Facebook page in October of 2012:

If you were referring to Bigfoot being real. It would have made more sense to go with "Bigfoot is just as made up as Bama's National Championships."

As far as my takes? Well that's just a lie.
