Na same same likely going to have your FCS opponent, your Mountain West type then 1 Big 5. look at your schedule a head of time and see who you draw. If Oregon draws Colorado and TT in year maybe book a slightly bigger name than if you draw Oklahoma and AzSt

I forgot just how close that second CCG game really was with the Trees and my Bruins!!

A slightly left 52 yard field goal attempt kept the game from a probable OT to go the Rose Bowl.

play other 7 then play 3 from other side each year and 3 nonconference games.

That would almost beg teams to schedule soft OOC games, not that Army and Davis are that tough for Stanford, but I would hate to lose out on the continued game with the Domers, I freaking hate those guys.

One thing I like, is if this division 4 thing ever bears fruit, the model of 4 -16 team conferences would make an ideal way to have conference semis. That way we don't have a team that has 5 losses and can win just one game (ccg) and be crowned champ.

Each division of 4 winner is forced to win 2 conf playoff games one possibly on the road and another at neutral sight. Nobody could ever say a word about these cc as they would be certainly earned.

I am liking this more and more.

4 16 team conferences

4 division winners of each conference in conf playoffs. 1 winner of conference and a bid to National Title tourney where the other 3 conf winners await.

Maybe throw in 4 wild cards. Maybe not.

The Bruins made great adjustments in the week between the two games. There is a chance we are looking at back to back games again this year Vita, though I think the Bruins have a better shot of coming out of the south than Stanford does of coming out of the north.

Made me think about the 3 very doable yet missed field goals in the ASU game, by the same dude, that kept me Bruins out of the CCG last season.

out LSU, because in the last 3 years it was the only 1.
in Arizona last year. losing to stanford and such was up in the air anyway. Arizona there was just no heart.

It could be a great way to do it, so do we carry those 4 16 school divisions across all sports? It would be a great way to induce self governance and get rid of the travesty that is the NCAA.

Hey I might be in like Flynn if ALL conferences were to adopt the same structure. It kind of has a built in playoff structure.

True Wiz, but the dialogue has been crisper in the last 2 days than for the last few weeks. It is almost like having the goal gets people talking about topics of interest that would have made last month far more entertaining for me.

For me, it was the 39-36 loss to Arizona in 2012.

USC was ranked #1 going into that season. We lost to Stanford in the 3rd game. It was a blow to our title aspirations, but it was the 3rd game and given how well Stanford did that year (and that we had a couple of key injuries), there was plenty of time to get back in the hunt.

Going into the game vs. Arizona, we were 6-1 and seemed to be rolling. We took a 28-13 lead early in the 3rd quarter. Then the wheels came off the cart, we surrendered 26 consecutive points and that loss was the beginning of losing 5 of our last 6 games (including the bowl game).

Oh somehow this reminds me.... One of those game replays was me Bruins vs the Dubbs. 2004.

Those Dawgs went up big on me Bruins 24-7 in the first quarter however MJD cut loose for something like 169 yards and 3 TD's on 5 carries and one of those carries he lost a fumble on a no gainer. Most of the Bruins damage was done in the last 2 minutes of the first quarter.

That was an incredible first quarter where 44 points were scored and while the Bruins won the game by a TD the Dubbs came out on top in the first 24-20
