#2000 will be save material:

Chris Petersen is going to lower the boom on the Pac 12 for this day forward, SC Please that sleeping giant will stay sleeping, UCLA, Mora will get busted with a tranny on Sunset Blvd, Shaw will leave Stanford for the 49ers job, ASU will be busted by the NC2A soon enough, Arizona, will only win in basketball, OSU, the Beavers will be owned by Division II teams but will always find a way to piss off the Ducks, WSU, Cal, Utah , and Colorado will be kicked to the Big West, and then there is the Ducks, Mariota goes pro, and for the next 12 seasons fall to there rivals in the North:suds:
Love ya McNabb but Shaw will not leave in the next ten years, unless he gets fired.

Yeah, because none of the folks who are in favor of the rule cried that it wasn't fair.

Oh wait......yes they did. In fact, the premise behind the rule was that it isn't fair.

It isn't a rule.

It is a proposed change to a rule.

Not sure I heard anybody on this site (even Bama homers) say it wasn't "fair".

What is most heard (just like your comment above) is how crybaby shaming the rule proposal is. Basically due to media, and now public assumption and consumption.

Saban's own comments have been ridiculously taken out of context, and it has been ran with ever since..

What is sad, is that the topic can't get past Saban and the "proposed" 10 second rule to even have a relevant and reasonable discussion about the future direction of football and No Huddle offenses.

Yup.

Can't have it both ways.

Not even almighty Sabs:noidea:

The mighty Sabs could not survive at Stanford, nor could Shaw be as successful at 'Bama, the two student-athlete populations resonate to two very different coaching styles. Evidence of this can be seen in His Royal Ungratefulness (Ty Willingham) and his success at Stanford, but his inability to translate that to The University of Dead Fake Girl Friends or UW.

What every scum devil fan falls back on after hearing the facts. And the fact is is that your team is losing the football series to a team with absolutley no history.:omg:

Keep counting all those wins against the Tempe Normal School and Arizona State Teacher's College. They're very meaningful.

Sure. Why not.

Just stay out of the blast radius. Ducks and Trees are rubbing weenies right now.

Regent, don't you know weenies is the term for CAL fans? None of which come to this freaking board.

Oops, should have said rule change pretty sure you knew what I meant. And yes, several Bammers have said it wasn't fair to the defense.

As for the 10 second rule, if there is a valid safety concern, then by all means, study it. The hunh has been around long enough now that there should be a decent enough sample size to see if Saban's theory hold water. If it does, then maybe we look at a rule change. Right now, however, there's no data to back it up, so it comes down to changing the rule simply because some don't like that style.

Most of those in favor of the change have claimed it's not fair and it's not "real football" or that it's not "good football" (after they finally dropped the "safety issue" aspect). That comes down to an issue of style, not safety. Also, Saban's comments have not been taken as far out of context as you claim. He's made several different comments about it and seems to change his reasoning behind it each time. There have been quotes and links provided throughout the threads on it.

Call me old fashioned (my kids do), but for me, the best football is your coach prepares your team in the style that he thinks gives his team the best chance to win and my teams coach does the same. Then we have a game and see who wins.

For myself, I want to beat Oregon (for example) with them playing the style that gives them the best chance to win. Not because they were forced to play a style of football that hurts their chances because of some lame rule change.

I couldn't agree more with Pelini's statement on it. He doesn't care for it, but he's not going to whine about it. He's going to figure out how to defend it and he's going to use it himself. That's the exact same way that I feel about it.

Kind of tough to tease the Thorazine U. about anything right now. It's like kicking a dying animal with that defense they sport.

Good luck, I fully expect you to hit that mark by August. (Much better time to fish for cherries too).

Seemed more like a recruiting ploy than anything else. They did some Tombstone thing last year about being tough cowboy sort of guys last year after fielding probably the worst defense in the conference the previous season. Now they're trying something different. I guess there's a niche. The truth of the matter is the teams that previously ran super-fast-mode-no-huddle (Oregon and ASU) in the Pac 12 intentionally backed off a bit on the speed last season. That might have just been because they were the two highest scoring offenses that boat raced half of their opponents and didn't need to run that many plays though.

It was this:

They're the ones who wanted to keep scheduling UA, so why not? I don't really care though(yes I do), to me all that matters is what's happening now, and right now(November) UA got their ass wooped by the scum devils. Ya see, I'm easy to get along with.:suds:
