I'm mostly interested to see how WSU's defense looks away from Martin. I know Falk can play on the road. That trip to Oregon just suddenly got a whole lot easier though with Herbert and Freeman out. Might not get punched hard on the road until the last two weeks @utah and @UW

Eh, guess I'm not as concerned about the defense on the road because we are built strictly on speed and we only have game on grass in Tuscon.

My biggest thing is our offense could be really potent if Falk keeps having confidence and throwing it to Bell, Calvin and Dimry which is something he lacked in the first 4 games. After Calvin dropped the touchdown on the first series I wouldn't have expected him to go back but he did. Outside of the ridiculous interception Falk played pretty well but is still taking way too many sacks especially when we play you guys. But I also haven't watched the game again sober so this may all be with my homer beer goggles.

Part of the game that really sucks for sure.

No one knows the status of Freeman. Maybe he makes it back before that stretch is finished.

Ducks had to burn the redshirt of their 3rd stringer QB as well which also sucks. Compounded problem.

Burning Brumeister's redshirt sucks but it looks like they are going to need him. It would have really sucked to burn his redshirt just so he could hand the ball off late in the 4th quarter vs. cal. I can't believe I'm saying this but Oregon is going to have rely on their defense for the next few weeks.

Stanford could win a national title if they ever had a top flight QB, but they don't need one to threaten to win the Pac and that's saying something because no other team in the conference can really say that.

Stanford is built to play trench warfare and win turnover battles. A throwback style they excel at.

Maybe the typical Stanford we've come to know, their D seems to be lacking this year.

Injuries have been mentioned because USC had quite a few and the backups didn't step up. Even Wazzy mentioned the injuries.

As for this beat writer, I hope he gets stripped of his credentials, at least as far as being a USC beat writer goes. What the hell did he expect? Did think that he was going to go into hostile territory and see USC cheered by the opposing fans?

As for booing injured players because they thought they were faking them to slow the offense...while I think that it's bad form to boo any injured player, it's not as if we haven't seen players obviously fake an injury against uptempo offenses. So it's kind of hard to blame them.

You should check put the game thread. There were a couple bad/missed calls, but holy shit, you would have thought the game was oklahoma/Oregon, or Wisconsin/asu based on a couple USC fans' posts.

Every time any fans talk about injuries people dump on them. Hell, we kind of give Vita the business a bit because it's the same thing every year. Anyone that follows the sport knows that injuries matter and make a big difference in the outcome of games. We all will poke at it when fans use it to say it's the only reason they lost, even if that is likely true.
