Hence my point. You played 2 defenses all year and Browning looked like a FCS QB.
Ah, I remember back to these type of hollow victories when our main rival was beating us up too.

Thank fucking God those days are behind us. That shit was pathetic.

Carry on

Wow for the beavs if happens....

Ex-Oregon Ducks running back Thomas Tyner will make comeback... at Oregon State

Since taking a medical retirement more than 15 months ago Thomas Tyner has been as busy as any college kid. He's attended classes at the University of Oregon. He's gone fishing and hunting for birds. And now, he's making a football comeback.
It will come in an Oregon State uniform.

Tyner requested his release from the University of Oregon on Friday. At 9 a.m. on Saturday morning it became official and the former five-star running back who once rushed for 644 yards and scored 10 touchdowns in a single game for Aloha High School prepared to talk with Beavers coach Gary Andersen about playing for OSU next season.

The NCAA prohibits a medical retiree from returning to play at that same university. He couldn't play at Oregon. It's not an option. So really this isn't about a player picking the Beavers over the Ducks. That's how it will be cast in some households, but not in Tyner's. This decision is more about Tyner deciding he was not going to sit around the rest of his life mired in regret.

Tyner, who totaled 1,284 rushing yards and 14 touchdowns in two seasons at Oregon, tweeted on Thursday: "'What if,' I hate that thought."

Oregon State has Ryan Nall in the backfield. Nall and Tyner could be a next-level combination for Andersen's offense. It would solve an immediate need -- a 4.28-second, 40-yard burner to complement Nall's bruising running style.

I had that kid pegged to do great things when he was coming out of high school. Hopefully he stays healthy and puts some solid numbers up.

What injury made him retire? usually it's something thats pretty bad and can hurt your health in the future.

I completely lost my train of thought.....
oh yes, what made him retire?

He always had a dodgy right shoulder from a serious injury playing his sophomore year in H.S.. But he was doing fine in college and putting up serious numbers.

But what made him call it quits was an injury to his left shoulder during his sophomore year at Oregon when Washington's Shaq Thompson and him collided during a special teams play. Reports were there was severe muscle and bone damage and he had to have a procedure to remove bone fragments around the joints, etc....

Cleaning up my desktop and came across the spreadsheet I had for everyone's guesses at over/under for the Pac12. Kind of forgot all about it.

Any interest in seeing how well you did? :noidea:

Most of them started somewhere around this page:
THE PAC12 THREAD v.4

I have it informally as:
@Vitamike 6-6
@TheDayMan 6-6
@wazzu31 6-6
@TheLonestarDUCK 6-6
@socaljim242 5-7
@Not Neutral 5-7
@WizardHawk 4-8
@Olyduck 4-8
@trojanfan12 4-8

The bovada o/u we picked against was:
Team - O/U - (actual)
UW 10 (12 over)
USC 9.5 (10 over)
UCLA 9 (4 under)
Oregon 8.5 (4 WAY WAY WAY under lolz)
Stanford 8 (10 over)
Arizona 7.5 (3 under)
WSU 7 (8 over)
Utah 6.5 (9 over)
Cal 6 (5 under)
ASU 6 (5 under)
Colo 4.5 (10 over)
OSU 3.5 (4 over)

9 people put picks in and there wasn't more than 2 correct guesses between all of them.

Of course no one would have made any money had they actually bet on those even if 4 would have broken even.

I wish Tyner the best. It will be interesting to see if he has anything left. If he can stay healthy and he's stayed in top shape, he'll be a big boost for the Beavs.

Outside of my joke about the Mutts I did pretty well. $C and Colorado kind of fudged me plus Stanford doesn't count since they literally beat no-one with a pulse outside of a pre good $C team.

Wifey makes the best potato salad!

Even people who claim they don't like potato salad love hers.

It's not too different from most peoples TBT. It has the eggs, bacon, celery and some sesame seed besides the usual condiments of mayo, mustard, pickle, onion and salt.

But here's her secret, she boils about one and a half the amount of taters than her recipe calls for. Then she only uses the finest portions of the cooked taters.

That takes away all the tater mush, and lets the other ingredients compliment the firm cooked taters.

Makes sense too when you think about it, I mean who would add mashed potatoes (Basically the same thing) to a potato salad? But that's what happens when you only cook the required amount of potatoes called for in the recipe. She just cuts off all the soft edges, and throws out the pieces that don't make the cut. (You can always make some mashed potatoes & gravy with the over cooked pieces if you want)

Of course I know your having some fun here tf, but I just thought I'd do a little show and tell so y'all can see how it works out for yous if you choose.

3 day weekend coming up, and you know the BBQ's & picnics will be going and of course there will be the tater salads there too!
And here I was thinking it's because she served it in a bikini...

Some interesting analysis I spotted today as the U/O totals for the 2017 PAC have started cranking up at sportsbooks. These are just regular season and doesnt include the champ game or bowls.

*** USC
Total: 9.5
Hotline pick: Under
Comment: Not only is the schedule difficult, it’s front loaded with steep challenges before the offensive line coalesces (in theory). The total leaves little margin for error, especially for a program that’s been known to lose a game or two it shouldn’t.

*** Washington
Total: 9.5
Hotline pick: Over
Comment: Three non-conference cupcakes, no USC and a veteran quarterback/line combination make the Huskies the best bet in the conference, by far, to win at least 10 of 12.

*** Stanford
Total: 8.5
Hotline pick: Under
Comment: The Cardinal faces another difficult September — and does it with enough uncertainty at key positions to make 8-4 (or worse) more likely than 9-3 (or better).

*** Oregon
Total: 8
Hotline pick: Under
Comment: Another sign of soaring expectations for Willie Taggart’s first season. I expect improvement, particularly on defense. But nine wins feels a tad unrealistic. (If the total were 7.5, I’d be tempted to take the over.)

*** Colorado
Total: 7.5
Hotline pick: Under
Comment: Helluva number, 7.5 is. I strongly considered the over — the Buffs’ non-conference schedule is soft — but veered to the under because of shifting expectations. The defending division champs will get everyone’s best shot.

*** Washington State
Total: 7.5
Hotline pick: Under
Comment: Won’t believe the Cougars can start fast until I see them do it. And one loss early, which I view as likely, would create huge problems in the charge to eight wins. Remember: Five of the last seven are on the road.

*** Utah
Total: 6.5
Hotline pick: Over
Comment: Yes, the Utes must rebuild the offensive line and suffered major personnel hits on defense, as well. But Kyle Whittingham has won eight (or more) in the regular season for three consecutive years. He’ll find a way to get to seven, at least.

*** UCLA
Total: 6
Hotline pick: Under
Comment: If Josh Rosen stays healthy, the Bruins could be the conference’s most improved team. But forced to make an over/under call here, I’d argue there’s a better chance of UCLA winning five than seven, especially with the tough noncon.

*** Arizona
Total: 5.5
Hotline pick: Over
Comment: We’ll mark the Wildcats for three non-conference wins — too much turnover at Houston — which means they need only go 3-6 in league to cover the over. They’ll win at least three, right?

No projections on ASU, Ore st, or Cal were provided yet.

Coulndt you take it at even for Oregon? If you want under at 8 but you would have considered over at 7.5

It's good for us we play so much on the road at the end of the year. Under Leach it seems like we suck balls at home.
