We will see how their staff does in year two and how they handle their development of Darnold. They don't need to jump a lot to reach that level. I'd love to see them in the CCG and I'm sure that would be a huge TV share.

We get a UW/USC PAC-12 CCG and we need to try to get as many USC and UW fans from tHoop as we can to meet up for the game.

I get the optimism by USC honks, but analysis shows them losing a lot on the Oline, including both starting tackles, and some other 2016 key players. Darnold benefitted from that mature line a lot this year.

But right now, my money is on a USC Wash PAC champ game this Dec.

If there's one team who has the talent to replace players its USC. It's always been about the coaching. Adoree an Ju ju still havent said they are gone but WR is stacked and Jack Jones is a 5* who got his feet wet and wil play opposite Biggie just fine. The O line loses two All Americans but Darnold isn't a statue back there. His ability to move makes the O lines job easier.

The thing about the Pac Championship game, and why it needs to go back to the higher ranked team hosting, is I don't eat off of solid gold toilets made for kings. It's gonna come down to going to the bowl game or the Pac Championship game (hopefully), and the bowl game wins, especially when it's potentially the Rose or CFP in that situation.

Yeah, I don't want to take anything away from the o-line, because they did improve quite a bit as the season went on. But there were literally 2-3 plays in almost every game, where I found myself saying "If that were Max Browne back there, that's a sack."

Yeah, I'd have to make a similar choice. For me, it would depend on the bowl. If it's the Rose, I'm going to the PACCCG because I've been to the Rose Bowl several times.

Yeah and the thing is. Rather than getting sacked those plays usually turned out to be back breakers for the other team. I like this one NFLs guys description of him. Built like Andrew Luck plays like Russell Wilson.

Yeah, you wouldn't have to pay all the travel expenses for the Rose either. That might make it more doable. Not that tickets are cheap.

Don't know how I've pulled it off, but I've been to the Rose Bowl 6 times and have never had to buy a ticket. I'd probably have to buy one for the PACCCG.

Yeah, I've said similar. Not the Andrew Luck comparison, (Sam's pretty big though), but the Russell Wilson one for sure. What I've noticed is that, like Wilson, when he runs, it's usually to keep a play alive. Running for yards is the last resort.

Will be a big weekend for recruiting with all-American game activities this week. West coast recruits who were invited and will be making their commit announcements on the 7th:

5-star OT Foster Sarell (Graham, WA). Believed to be down to Washington and Stanford. It's pretty much impossible to keep lineman away from Stanford once they offer and academic qualify so I won't be shocked at all if he commits to them. He's one of the top recruits in the nation.

5-star CB Darnay Holmes (Calabasas, CA). A little undersized at 5-10, but still an impressive athlete whose fast as hell and a big time playmaker. Ohio State and UCLA appear to be his two high choices right now.

4-star S Bubba Bolden (LV, NV). Proabaly a lock to USC.

4-star WR Jamire Calvin (LA, CA). Probably a lock to Nebraska.

ASU absolutely needs to land Austin Jackson and it's beginning to look like a longshot. The inability of the program to sign any of the premiere local OL out of high school over the last several years is program crippling.

They've already missed on Keenan Walker, Casey Tucker, Kenny Lacy, Andrus Peat, Christian Westerman (originally), Tyler Johnstone, Cyrus Hobbi, Taylor Lewan and Andre whatshisface over the years. Every 4 or 5 star OL in the state for the last 8 or 9 years has gone elsewhere despite being in ASU's backyard. Most of them wound up being pretty good.

It's turning into a self-fulfilling prophecy that ASU can't get offensive linemen. They have one signed this year, their lowest ranked recruit. They took 5 last year, but 3 were JuCos as they tried to patch holes. It obviously didn't work well.
