5 on 5 no question. But, if the NHL did go to 4 on 4 it wouldn't be the end of the world. As long as they don't go with shootouts I'll survive. :P

Another vote for five on five. Four on four proposals are bullshit (I generally don't use cusswords, but it feels so right in this instance) that have nothing to do with 'what the fans want'. They're designed to shorten OTs and minimize the chance that hockey will interfere with other network programming.

Go ahead....tell me I need a tinfoil hat...but every poster on this board is smart enough to know that the league does practically nothing without a marketing angle behind it.

Unfortunately you are correct, this has network driven written all over it. Not being able to fully control programming is a network nightmare.

Five on five is the only real hockey.

i think a radical change is due:

5 on 5 for the first ot

6 on 6 for the second ot

7 on 7 for the third ot

and so on...

then once it gets to 18 on 18 as one poster recommended earlier, we open it to nationwide text voting for the best looking goalie, and that team wins.

ok, for serious though, absolutley 5 on 5 for ot in the playoffs. why mess with a good thing that everyone already likes. in fact, was there actually someone complaining about this?

The Rangers would've made the playoffs if it went to a vote instead of a shootout.
