i'm not saying the sky is falling but we finished and won the west with a starting 5 of Hamels, Gallardo, Holland, Lewis and Perez right now we have Hamels, Holland and Perez. isn't that worse?

And in my next post I alluded to Yu coming back but I would still have liked to see us looking to start the season on a more positive note than just waiting for him. And the same holds true with LF and catching. josh is not going to hold up physically to the demands of a 162 game season so we need someone who will probably start at least 100 games and also provide some pop at the plate. Chirinos and Gimenez are not the answer at Catcher. It needs to Chirinos and someone else. But that's just my humble opionion

after Yu comes back it won't be worse but between opening day and his first start can you honestly say we will be as good as the team we closed out the season with? in my humble and disrespected opinion i don't think we will be even close. but i will be patient and stop posting until i see how we start.

The main issue I have with Yu is not when does he finally put his toe on the rubber in a Ranger uniform but when will he really be up to speed. It may be much of the same thing as last year where we just tried to stay close until we got Holland and Perez back. And I do hope Holland pulls his head out of his yang-yang and can pitch like we expect him to.

But when you say "I was hoping the team would go into the season with more than just 'waiting on Darvish'" in the middle of December, that's kind of a ludicrous statement. It's one thing to not like the moves - or lack of them - but it's another to ignore the calendar altogether as the basis of your disdain.

I think if DT and I were in the starting rotation in April 2016, its doubtful we start any worse than 2015's April. Yu shouldn't be too far behind, late May I'm thinking (I stayed at a Holiday Inn Express, last night).

Don't give up, man. You just got to hold on another month or so before you start voicing too much disapproval, at that point, you may have a couple more folks in your corner. Something will give and I still think Colbra will be back in the rotation, and JD will add another 4-5th type.
