don't understand what moving moreland has do with adding a legitimate 4th OF'er unless you're thinking about Cespesdes, upton or heywood
A trade is I'm guessing his thinking.

Rua compares favorably to Young to me all things considered. One of those things to be considered is how much you would be paying them. To me both of them had fluke years last season. I just don't think they are going to be spending much on a 4th OF.so who do you go with? Hamilton who only played 50 games while battling multiple injuries or one of the following: Joey Gallo who struggled at .204 in 36 games, Ryan Strasboegher(SP) at .200 in 31 games or Ryan Rua at .193 in 28.
all i'm saying is Young played in 140 games at all 3 OF positions while battling.327 against LH pitching

I think the Rangers see Hamilton as an everyday player and not someone to platoon with. The 4th OF won't play much until someone gets hurt and maybe not much even then. I strongly believe that once Mazara proves he is just as good in 2016 as he was in 2015 that he comes up to play everyday when the first injury to a corner OF occurs.

if we get 80-90 games out of Hamilton i will feel lucky
He hasn't looked full time lately. Probably never will again but can be useful for the price.Have to agree here. The Rangers would love to not have to worry about someone platooning with Hambone. But that's not the reality we live in.
(when I say "platooning," I mean someone to cover the spot when Hambone gets hurt)

Question is who. May be DDJ if we get a true CF. Rua may step up in the spring. Hope he'll be RH whom ever.Exactly so you need a dependable 4th that can cover at least 80 games
Rua was overwhelmed by big league pitching but you think he compares favorably
Just don't see him being ready to play 70-80 games in 2016 and provide the needed offense a LF'er is expected to supply. He wasn't in 2014. He got hurt and never got a chance to get in a groove.

Young was overwhelmed in 3 of the past 4 years.Just don't see him being ready to play 70-80 games in 2016 and provide the needed offense a LF'er is expected to supply.
I think you meant power. DDJ brought plenty of offense. Enough for a 4th LF imo. However he could be traded for several needs.LF'er's are expected to bring offense to the game and DDJ doesn't

Because DDJ is not a true CF. His arm is too weak for CF. We do need a legit CF.He did as a CF'er and leadoff but moving him to left means you have to bring a CF'er with power to improve the team so why not leave DDJ in center and bring a RH LE'er in?
