guess it will Josh but not by much. see him maybe starting at max 60-65 games, Ruggy at maybe 50-55. the rest spread among Mazara, Jones etc

It wouldn't surprise me in the least to see either Mazara or Brinson make the move to the big league OF at some point after the all star break and never let it go. I think Josh will either be injured or a bench player by September, though he will give us some big moments earlier in the season.

I agree and I think the person is largely contingent on the problem we're having at the time.... If its pitching/defense then we see Brinson push DDJ to LF, if the problem is offense we see Mazara/Gallo... and if the problem is both or all 3 then we might be screwed anyway

Rangers prospect Dillon Tate ready for 2016

The biggest breakthrough as a professional was when Tate learned to trust his fastball, which runs 92-98 mph.

"The more I did that I realized I could get outs with my fastball," Tate said. "It is still a work in progress, but that's the bread and butter pitch. Start there and continue to get a better feel for that pitch."

The secondary pitches are the next step. Tate throws four pitches, and his slider is his best secondary pitch, followed by the changeup and the curve.

"I would say they are just OK," Tate said. "Just keep working on those, but fastball command is first and foremost. Hopefully I can get my changeup up to par with the slider. It is going to come with repetition, so I am going to give that pitch more attention."

He will need multiple effective pitches to be successful as a starter in the big leagues. He was a starter and a reliever at Santa Barbara, but the Rangers' plan is to develop him as a starter.

"Dillon is highly motivated to be great," said Danny Clark, the Rangers' Minor League pitching coordinator. "He is intelligent with a really gifted arm ... really likes the weight room and uses all of his resources. He is very coachable. I can't wait to get to work with him."

think the problem will center around the offense because if Josh goes down and that is highly probable the bottom of the order will be nearly punch-less until you get to Oder and there will no one from Fielder(#5) to him(#9) with any real offense.

Prospect Watch: Top 10 outfielders for 2016

2. Lewis Brinson, Rangers
Brinson has always had a tremendous power-speed combination, but what has allowed him to take a huge step forward has been a vast improvement in his approach at the plate. As he has cut down on his strikeouts and upped his walk rate, he's tapped into his hitting and power potential consistently, giving him true 30-30 potential.

3. Nomar Mazara, Rangers
Like Brinson, Mazara's improved approach at the plate has helped him take the next step as a prospect. He has the tools teams look for from the prototypical right fielder: a power arm and a power bat. Rangers fans should be excited about having Brinson and Mazara ready to make up two-thirds of the big league outfield in the near future.

Videos of each are in the link.

I will say a 30-30 outta Brinson would be awesome....but I'll settle for 20-20 potential.

I could be wrong, but I don't think Brinson is expected to be a 30 bomb guy. I'll be perfectly happy with 20/30.

I will compromise between the two of you and hope for 25/30.

If we eventually get a Mazara, Brinson, and Gallo OF they could put up some hefty HR numbers between the three of them. That would be nice.

Re earlier poll. My thought was injury to Josh. Bring up Brinson who surprises and DDJ to left. Have to agree with the Grumpy Cat

I would lean towards thinking they would bring up Mazara to play in LF in that scenario unless it was very late in the year and Brinson had outperformed Nomar all year.
