Is it me, or is $100 for a foot long section of foul pole kinda reasonable?[/QUOTE
I wouldn't pay it, or anything close. But hey, it's your wallet, use it the way ya wanna.

Not a problem Q. I just used your post to respond.just to be clear, my comment had nothing to do with Pudge. He's also a clear cut HOFer.
Just that Piazza's defense is underrated.

Just think -- if you have a fastpass you could get some of the players to sign it @ fanfest.
Rangers Top Prospects No. 6: The potential leadoff-hitting, center fielder Eric Jenkins | SportsDay
The Rangers went over the recommended bonus to sign Jenkins, the 45th overall pick in last year's draft. It could be $2 million well spent. Jenkins has the potential to become a top-flight leadoff hitter and center fielder.
Jenkins started slowly in the rookie-level Arizona League but progressed during the season. He has exceptional speed, at 6.4 seconds for 60 yards. Jenkins had 28 steals in 31 tries in the Arizona and Low-A South Atlantic League.
Jenkins is more than a slap-hitting sprinter. He is strong and has a line-drive swing. When Jenkins puts the ball in the gaps, the defense is in trouble. He had six triples in 195 at-bats.
In the outfield, Jenkins breaks well on fly balls and takes good angles of pursuit. His arm is less than average, as is the case with many center fielders.
Jenkins made a strong impression on the Rangers with his work ethic and desire. The demands of the Arizona League test newcomers and can break them. Jenkins never slowed.
I think it's a shame that Piazza got in and not Baggy and Pudge
Just heard Feliz got $3.9 mil, plus some incentives which could bring him too about 5 million.
Never thought he get anything like this. But good for him.
Yeah, I posted this a couple of days back. Kudos to his agent.
The Feliz deal and the Gordon deal just show how finances have changed in baseball. Teams have a lot more money to spend it seems.I missed it....sorry.
But like you, I would sincerely like to see him resurrect his career in Pittsburgh.
That seems like a hefty investment on the front end to me though.
One thing about a 1 year deal is he would be motivated plus we lose no players. I would definitely take that slash line and HR production.Wouldnt surprise me if JD figures out some way to get this guy, however unlikely it seems with the Rangers budget restrictions.

Could Justin Upton settle for a one-year deal and try free agency again in 2016? (USATSI)
Outfielder Justin Upton remains unsigned at this late hour despite having a strong record of production at the plate and on the bases and despite his being quite young -- 28 -- as premium free agents go. As it turns out, Upton may have a different approach to the market in mind ...
Interesting! Needless to say, Upton would be able to command a hefty salary on a one-year pact, and even then he'd be of interest to contenders/aspiring contenders looking for outfield help. Inking a one-year deal would also allow Upton to hit the market again next offseason, when the available crop of free agents will be much less impressive than this winter's. Upton would of course still be on the right side of age 30, and the thin supply side of the market could wind up putting more money in his pocket than if he signed a long-term deal right now.
Speaking of all that, the Steamer projection system tabs Upton for a 2016 batting line of .260/.343/467 with 38 homers and 12 stolen bases.
Developing!
