I wonder if the Rangers will have any interest in Sanchez for catching depth.

I would say he doesn't mind going out on a ledge.

Don't forget about Eickoff. He has already had a some success with them. He had a 2.65 ERA with them in 8 starts with almost 9 K's per 9 innings.

Then there is also Harrison who wasn't diagnosed with a thyroid condition until he went there. If that thyroid treatment gets him to be able to gain some weight and strength and he gets some more velocity as a result then he could become a significant piece of that trade as well.
Still don't mind Hamels and Diekman. To me it was not a bad trade. Not sure how many of those guys would have progressed here but Philly is rebuilding. I may be imagining this but a month ago I saw a Philly article that listed the 5 projected starters and Eickhoff was not one of them which was strange.

Ozuna is another guy with potential, had a bit of a down year last year vs the previous but I think he may still get it figured out

I'd love it. But it won't happen. Just too many old farts have that "he's not getting my vote b/c so-and-so wasn't a unanimous selection" type attitude.

Missed it by THREE votes!

3 shitheads who should never be allowed to watch another baseball game.

Still, a new all-time record for voting %. 99.3!

One way to perhaps call a halt this type of BS is to publish who voted for whom.

Most exciting player I personally ever saw play is Griffey. And I've seen some pretty good one's too.

Rangers continue quest for pitching depth

Darvish, who has returned from Japan and is working out in Arlington, is the most intriguing of the Rangers’ starters as he attempts to come back from Tommy John surgery last spring.

Assuming he rejoins the rotation, the Rangers are well aware of the pitfalls with stuff and command that Tommy John recipients can encounter early in their returns.

But the Rangers also believe that Darvish is in the same class as elite pitchers who have returned from Tommy John and had fewer issues.

The performances of Matt Harvey, Adam Wainwright, Jose Fernandez and even John Smoltz in their first season after Tommy John have buoyed the Rangers’ hopes for Darvish, who will resume his throwing program next week.

“The No. 1 priority is to get him back to full health, and we’re on a good path toward that,” Daniels said. “I look at upper echelon starting pitchers who have come back from Tommy John, the cream of the crop which he clearly fits in, there are a lot of guys who don’t have problems.”

Marcell Ozuna (FLA OF) for Chi Chi? Pray the Rangers aren't that dumb.

You kidding? That's a steal for the Rangers. You GOTTA do that.
