true, ta'amu isnt a sack guy, but he IS a run stuffer, and with the running backs in our division, we need that. and Cleveland picked a monster....overall, I have to say that the Steelers have one of, if not the best draft this year so far

yoiu dont know nuthin

he's percy harvin jr.

just letting him return kicks is a waste.

in a spread set with him in the slot they'd have 4 sub 4.5 receivers on the field.

He doesn't have good hands and he doesn't run anything close to an NFL route. He is an athlete, not a football player. I'm not opposed to the pick, but I don't think he ever establishes himself as a legit WR. Hope to be wrong.

This could be one of the best drafts the Steelers have had since the 70's.

Very serious. Most of his catches at Florida were screens or out of the backfield. I didn't see many highlights of him running extended routes, and I don't get the sense that he is able to find holes in zone coverage. He doesn't have great hands and he has trouble tracking the ball over his shoulder. He was a 5 star recruit based on athleticism coming out of High School and in 4 years at Florida he didn't show much improvement.

And there is no way he can be a 3rd down back b/c he doesn't/can't block.

he played most of 2010 as a starting slot receiver

I don't think that Rainey was brought in to be a third down back or slot receiver...maybe he can become the slot receiver, but he was brought in with hopes of development and maybe immediate impact on special teams. It'll be nice if he can take over for AB on KR, because both AB and Sanders are going to have an increased role as WR this year.

well he'll obviously immediately compete on ST, but Haleys press conference says they want to use him at WR and RB on various downs, and in various personnel groupings

I knew he played some slot at Florida.
I have yet to see a highlight of him running a good route and I watched about 20 minutes of them. He's obviously electric from the time he gets the ball until the time that he gets hit.

I just don't think this rates up there with the other draft steals the Steelers stole.
