Brady been caught cheating how many times now? So, Brady sucks at cheating.

Yes, that's what I'm saying, Crosby is just the better cheater because he doesn't get caught or he pays the refs better....

C'mon man, keep up here.

Dude, calm down. I'm just having fun with you. Your a pens fan, you're not going to see it the same as I do. And I'm not going to see it the same as you do. I was once a pens fan, but could not stand the preferential treatment Sidney gets. He's a great player, and the face of hockey, but they pander to him. People can't stand him for the same reason you and I as Steelers fans can't stand Brady.

I'm calm. 5 Stanley Cups in 25 years will do that to ya. :suds:

No one is pandered more to than the Maple Leaf's by both the League and NHL Network. When the Leaf's play on the West Coast the games starts at 7 PM Toronto Time and not West Coast time. That happens for no one else!!! The Network calls the Leaf's the top team in the Eastern Conference despite them not getting past the first round yet. Give me a break!!!

Anybody in here know anything about cleaning stained & sealed concrete patios? Had a yuge patio stamped, stained & sealed last summer and this spring it is in desperate need of a cleaning. I have a pressure washer but I am fearing that I will strip the sealant & the top stain if I use it. Thinking I'll probably have to scrub it with a soft cleaning agent and then rinse it.

Any tips or recommendations? Just cleaning it for dirt (& mildew?) that has accumulated. Not trying to remove stains or anything else.

Long handle soft brush and soapy water should do you fine.

Probably will be the route I take. Do you think using one of the wide-spray nozzles on the pressure washer (held at a decent distance upwards) would work for the cleanup?

I wouldn't use a pressure washer for it at all. Even at a distance. Just use the normal hose. Maybe get a squeegee attachment for the pole you have the brush on.

With the distance I have to push the dirt off the patio (~20 ft from the house to the grass) I'm thinkin the hose rinse would take a lot of effort. I have some harmless pressure washer nozzles that will sweep the dirty water off faster.

Long handle brush & soap water worked pretty well. Didn't do any visible damage with the pressure washer either. It started raining on me midway through the wash so I didn't really get to see the results until the next day. Would have liked to have done it once more to get it fully clean, but didn't have the time.

Acid stained concrete is burned in to the surface. Pressure washing would be just fine.

Cool..."trying" is ALWAYS the fun part....lol

Good to hear the wife loves it...close family can help as long as they don't get "too close"...lol

I've played ocean front golf in the Carribean before, but never Teeth of the Dog so I'm on board with that locale. The handful of guys I know that have played B-D say weather can make or break the trip so timing makes a big difference, but it's awesome.

Life is great on this end as well...wife and I are celebrating our 30th today...kind of a low key affair at Longhorn steakhouse believe it or not.

But we spice it up towards the end of the week...Friday we fly out to Paris for a week. Neither of us have been to Europe so this is bucket list type stuff...I joked with her this morning, France just won the WC, The Tour De France is going on and The Open Golf Championship is going on (in Scotland)...no telling what we'll be flying into...lol Looking forward to it.

The Casa?...kinda sorta done...the grilling pad should be done this fall (in time for football season) and we're planning a nice get together
Bringin this convo into the BS thread...

"Trying" is indeed the best part lol. First time we were preggo within days, but my wife always frets it taking longer for some reason. All her coworkers filling her head with questions. Some of her coworkers have taken years to conceive. I thought after our first go-round she wouldn't question it again... But here we are 2 years later & she's still using a fertility app on her phone and telling me which days are best. I told her all days work best for me... So we should only try to increase our chances right?! lol!

Never been to the islands nor have I golfed, but we just went down to Mexico last December and stayed near Playa Del Carmen (just south of Cancun) at an all-inclusive resort. That was my first time down there and we had a blast. They had a golf course on the resort, but I got too caught up with the resort & the tourist hot-spots. They gave us these "resort bucks" that we could only use with booked tours through the resort. Golf course wasn't included sadly. But the course looked awesome. Next time! I hear ya on the Pac-NW/Oregon golfing. I played Salishan (north of B-D) a few years ago and we spent about an hour under a tree off of the 7th hole waiting for the monsoon to stop. Decided it wasn't going to let up so we got another round from the cart lady and went all Rambo on the course. Scorecard went out the window but we still had a blast. Spectacular views of the ocean from a few tee boxes IIRC.

Congratulations on the 30th!!! And PARIS!! Damn that sounds like a ton of fun! Especially since, like you said, there is a lot going on over there right now. I bet its madness! Only been to Europe once as a kid and I was too young to remember it properly. Germany, specifically. Always wanted to go over and tour the countries. Italy, Greece, France & Spain are at the top of my bucket list. Hope you guys have a great time over there!

Grill Pad... You talkin about a new patio? Pour it yourself or get it contracted out? We just had a fairly big ~650 sq ft patio poured last summer. Stamped & stained. It's beautiful and we love it, other than the color didn't turn out quite as we anticipated. Put about $2k into new patio furniture and got myself a HD projector with a pull-down screen that I hung from underneath our roofing eaves. It's the ultimate patio hangout! I would definitely recommend it if you can fit it into your new patio. Next project I'm going to construct an outdoor kitchen to encompass my new grill.

Cool...I always skim over this thread, but good you moved it.

Increase your chances brother...it can't hurt! Good spacing though...our kids are 2 yrs 6 mos apart. Not too far apart that they're not really close as kids, not too close to have all that financial burden back to back. Our son is finally figuring out his path and plans to leave the house next spring...lazy imo, but has a decent gig now saving his money. Always good with money, basically he's cheap unless it's something for gaming he won't buy it unless he has to have it for work or something. He'll have paid off his car ahead of my daughter and got his school loan to near zero. She bought her car a year before he did, same terms. We gave her a down payment, and paid her 1st school loan off (reward for actually graduating).

Our daughter makes good money, but seems to spend it equally as good. She wanted to come on this Paris trip, but none of her crew can go since they had all these other trips...just this yr they've been to Lake Tahoe, Hilton Head, DC, and NYC.

Mexico...I've been over the border (illegally I think with my cousins that lived in San Antonio) but never played golf down there...This same group of guys also did the Cabo golf trip. Talk about envious. These are all older guys, clearly not hurting for money, they've done the Scotland golf trip, B-D, and Cabo.

My wife was born in Trinidad and not a US citizen even though she grew up on St Croix and hasn't been to Trinidad since she was like 8 y/o. Essentially here on a green card and of course married to me. She's had a terrible time getting her passport renewed...I mean years...2 or 3 at least. At one point we thought she would have to return to Trinidad to get it done, but with no valid passport, that was risky. Initially were just gonna go some where local like Charleston, SC and celebrate our 30th there.

She was finally granted an opportunity to go to a Trinidad embassy and have this passport renewed (there are 2 we're aware of) one in DC the other in Miami) Last July she went to the embassy in DC and got it renewed and ran into a problem with the spelling of her name....long story short, she finally got her passport in February of this yr. Literally a day to two afterwards, I saw a great deal online for a trip to Paris, booked it immediately and surprised her with it, and it's just about here. Barcelona, Rome, a few others are on the list...with only a week, we'll likely get over to London, but the rest of the time will be in France...my dad's oldest brother was in WWII and came ashore at the Normandy Beach...we have so many tours planned I don't know if we'll get that one in.

Patio...nice!!...I've been trying to get the owner here to get more into decorative concrete. We've done a few jobs with sub contracted labor, but so far that's it. One reason he's skeptical is much like yours...expectations and reality not always the same with stained concrete.

Yeah, our patio I had 2 guys from work pour it for me...I paid for the concrete and gave them $200 a pc to spread it. I think I posted some pics a while back, but the patio (at the wife's urging) became a fully enclosed sunroom with a fireplace and nice water feature. The sunroom is finished and turned out really nice, the grilling pad was poured at the same time, it's off the sunroom door...it will be a little 4' x 8' island with a builtin gas grill and a Primo (like a Green Egg, but made here in GA) grill.

Sorry for the book, but hard to find a stopping point...kind of a slow day in the office...lol
