1 teaspoon will turn 16 oz of water into something just shy of jello (without changing the tastE)
if you are ever frustrated with your sauces, gravies, etc... just blend in a little ....

I'm going to have to get some and make my fabulous sausage gravy :becky:

Like a 5 minute walk, from the only* local restaurant --- and it serves fresh caught fish, octopus, stingray, you name it . Local ranchers raise goat, sheep, cattle, etc. All fresh killed and cooked/served on the day. :eat:

what ? what do you think people used for centuries ? flour or corn starch

NO!!!

what I'm saying:

if you have achieved the FLAVOR you want, but not the TEXTURE you want, MORE flour will thicken but will CHANGE the flavor. You need something like Xanthan Gum to fix that--- more texture, no flavor change

we always use flour or corn starch for gravy's
