Again.. if we HAVE a franchise QB. Why do we NEED to draft a rookie unless we are going to NOT sign our Franchise QB??
The only reason to NOT sign Cousins is your infatuation with a rookie.. in which case you most assuredly WILL need to trade up to ensure you get your guy (See Eagles)
Saving Cap Space is a poor reason in my book because
1. You have to spend it some where to remain cap compliant
2. We already know Kirk is a good QB, so what money we save would likely go into guys like Pryor any way.
The money saved would go to other positions. To sign KC back is going to cost 30M a season. How does that not factor in? If the organization feels that we cant win with him why sign him to a crazy deal?
