Gary Brown 2 for 5 last night. Even better news for the short term success of the organization, Brandon Crawford 4 for 5 with 2 doubles and a homer.

Brown had his hitting streak snapped last night at 16 (if I counted correctly,) but he's already homered and stolen a base today.

He's the shit. Comparable to Posey, Belt and Sandoval at their times. By my estimations, Brown will be right on par with their numbers (less HR power, but more steals) at the average time of Posey's, Belt's and Sandoval's promotions.

I predict Brown will spend 26 more games in high A ball, 75 total. A June 25th ish promotion.

28/12 SB/CS is not good however (70%). Gotta be more like 85% to make him valuable there.

Yes, and the walks need to increase a bit too. But he has been improving his CS rate lately, but it's certainly an area he needs to improve.

So what's the over/under on when Brown get promoted? I'd say the ASB to Richmond. Any other guesses on when and where?

That sounds about right, but I would not be shocked to see him pass Richmond completely.

Has anybody seen Brown lately? He's been in a hell of a slump and judging by the huge increase in strikeouts I'd guess that he's trying to be a slugger. Has anybody been to a San Jose game in the last 2 weeks that can give us some insight on this?
