Mack Brown had one #1 class that I can remember and won a national title with it. That was the Vince Young class. He rarely had a top # 5 class after that until the end of his era when his recruiting reputation instantly added a star to our recruits. Mack actually use to put in work on the trail. We evaluated very well. Our 2005 class was rated pretty low and turned out to be outstanding with multiple 3 stars going on to play in the NFL. Success in recruiting really is about the evaluation. Sometimes that lines up with the recruiting services and other times it doesn't.

I hope he stays out of trouble here, because we're really gonna need him next season. Marlin Lane graduates and a freshman transferred, so that leaves us pretty thin at RB (which is why we went the JUCO route with Kamara).

FSU had an 8th early enrollee. Ethan Frith. Actually he was supposed to be there this past summer, but he grayshirted due to a shoulder surgery to repair his labrum in his right shoulder. Good another 6'7" 300 lb tackle that FSU sorely needs considering all the OL is gone.

John Burt decommitted from Texas and looks like Auburn is the front runner. This is our number 1 target at receiver so this is very good news for the Tigers.

think Auburn will get him. Think Texas staff have known for a few months that this would occur; they picked up that former Georgia 4* from last year, who went to a prep school this year to get his ACT score up, and have several Texas guys they are working on.

Losing Burt tho hurts, as he apparently has big-time skilz.

Staff hasnt called him since Les was fired. I think this is a UCLA/Tenn battle. Texas is filling up and slot WR isnt a huge need. Fast kid, he will make someone happy

He named Texas his leader today, which is weird (maybe due to 49er rumors). I feel bad for this kid, apparently Mom is all Texas and Dad is all Auburn. I think he ends up at Auburn, as Dad seems to be much more passionate about the topic.
