I'm dating myself, but I remember when FSU won the Joe Mauer sweepstakes as he was top QB/overall in the country. Then baseball called, Mauer got paid and FSU instead had to start Chris Rix for several years in a row. Moral of the story is don't count on a kid picking your college football team when the competition is offering millions.

Baseball has been getting really popular in the Dallas area the last 5 years or so with the Rangers not sucking (this year excluded). I've noticed kids are seriously considering MLB over CFB. Baseball seemed to be dead since the early 90's.
