I think Auburn is the team to beat for Evans, but also watch out for UCLA. His last official is to Bama but he is rumored to be taking an unofficial with his whole family to LA on the weekend of the 31st. If he doesn't end up taking it then look for UCLA to be out. If he does take it I see UCLA as very much in it.

He would be a great replacement for Barr.

Yes, one of the biggest recruiting tools at UCLA's disposal is the city of LA is a destination. But it also leads to a lot of confusion in recruit tracking. Players sometimes use it as a free vacation or even one they pay for even if they don't have as serious interest as a visit other places would suggest.

We also made a huge impression on Rashaan Evans and his parents. It's a WHOLE lot closer between Bama and Auburn than it was before. Auburn gets the last visit on the 24th, so that's good for them, but I wouldn't be shocked if we land Evans. He'd rather play our Sam position, where he can drop back as an LB or get down as a DE, over what Auburn wants him to do, which is playing the star.

Wisconsin's uni's are OK, the problem is that they look too much like Nebraska's...and when the Badgers switch to the alternate red helmet, they look too much like Indiana's.

A solution I'd like to see would be for the Badgers to switch to the black jerseys their QB's use in practice...they look pretty sharp, especially with the red W on the upper arm.

DE Malik McDowell has his visit to Florida State today (Jan 17)...then to LSU next Friday Jan 24, and finally to Ohio State on Friday Jan 31st. Many folks still believe the Wolverines are the front runner for McDowell.

4 or 5 star (depending on rating service) DE Malik McDowell out of Southfield, MI is eliminating his Ohio State visit...instead he will visit Michigan State tomorrow, Friday Jan 24, and then LSU on Jan 31st. He already took his Florida State visit last week, in addition to several unofficial visits to Michigan.

At one point Michigan was the front runner, and apparently Malik's mom prefers Michigan...but rumor has it that Malik is very interested in Michigan State. Also....Florida State and LSU are still in the picture.

As cane man said, it's a longshot. He has a good relationship with Coach Cristobal, and anything can happen when you get these guys on campus, but most expect him to stick with Miami.

He is at FSU right now. Doubt he goes anywhere, but Miami. He wants to bring Miami BACK! He also will be the best DE they have the instant he steps on campus. Not so if he were to choose FSU or Alabama. Both teams are loaded at that position. It also depends on whether he wants to play in a 3-4 or 4-3.

I figured there was a pretty good chance too. I'm really expecting another QB or two to transfer before it's all said and done. If I'm not mistaken, Bama had like 7 QBs on the roster at one time.
