There was a Husker apparel store on main street in Estes Park a few years ago. LOL
.

It's so damn crowded there this time of year. If you know Estes maybe you know the town of Lyons. My wife & I were thinking of moving there to get out of the overcrowding of Boulder. But moving's a pain in the ass. Plus instead of taking 10/15 to get to work it would take 45 or more. Decided to just stay put. The things I don't like about this place are worth dealing with for the short commute to work. Plus I'm close to El Dorado Canyon. I like that place.

My folks lived in Colorado Springs and Denver throughout the 90's, then moved to Mesa, AZ to get away from the snow.

I've vacationed in Estes Park a few times.

We were there on vacation one week before the Big Thomson Dam broke in the 70's. We were camping down stream and sure goners if we'd timed it differently.
I've always stayed in cabins above the dam since.

That was a close call.

PS: The YMCA there sucks ass. Had reservations there for a family reunion back in the early 2000's. Took one look at the room and got my money back. Went and rented a cabin on the Big Thomson for the same money.

I've heard many awful stories about the Big Thompson flood. Been here since the summer of '10. Not my choice, my wife is from here. It was a weird start. Summer of '11 a record was set for most consecutive days above 90. People asked me that summer how I was dealing with the heat. Told them it didn't bother me, had spent the previous 5 summers in Vegas. In '12 it was the wildfires. Then in '13 it was the bad flooding.

Heavy rains run right off the Rocky's into the Big Thomson, as there is little soil to absorb it.

Very few have AC in Estes Park as there is typically no need for it.

Alabama is -55 against New Mexico St.

I don't think I've ever seen a point spread that high. Even when P5's play against FCS teams. I'm tempted to go bet New Mexico St, just for the fuck of it. LOL

Being a stifling defense

They weren't stifling.

Total D: 60th
Rushing D: 38th
Passing Yds Allowed: 77th
Scoring D: 56th

They created turnovers though, which is what Frost wanted.

Or we are not very good, I guess that could be real possibility however I don't think that is the case. But I for the life of me can not figure out why they didn't just shit stomp them.

Luckily we are still recovering and my expectations are simply to improve.
