True, but you had a TO left with only 5 seconds on the clock. You take the timeout and give the booth crew the ability to look at it. You don't run out on the field and draw a 15-yard penalty.

Crap that scared me! I'd have rather taken the risk that Carolina would foolishly run another play if they'd have kicked it out of the back. They likely wouldn't have ran a play.

I was one of those, I never thought that game was going to be close and in the 3rd quarter I still thought it was over. Anyway.
