The NHL is a fucking joke. This league has zero integrity. NBA 2.0.

I looked up "NHL screws Flyers Betteman sucks Pronger dirty hit" on the YouTubes but it came back with 47,000 results, so I can't find the video.

I would not have been mad if the ref would have had the balls to make the call when it happened.

But no, he didn't call it when Pronger motioned. Then seconds later a goal is scored then waived off. If the ref went up with the arm when the "supposed" penalty occurred, there's less argument here. He waited until a goal was scored, which was not a direct result of the motion at all...the goal was scored a few seconds later.

What the hell are you talking about, a call for what? Directing Richards with his arm? Get the fuck out of here. I dont give a shit if you do a backflip infront of the goalie, if you dont touch the goalie then you dont get an interference call.

There are referees anymore they're overlords. They can just control the out comes of games without any consquences.

Colin Campbell I hope you're writing some emails about this call seeing how that is in your job description you piece of shit.

"National Hockey League Senior Executive Vice President and Director of Hockey Operations Colin Campbell today issued the following advisory on the interpretation of Rule 75 - Unsportsmanlike Conduct: "An unsportsmanlike conduct minor penalty (Rule 75) will be interpreted and applied, effective immediately, to a situation when an offensive player positions himself facing the opposition goaltender and engages in actions such as waving his arms or stick in front of the goaltender's face, for the purpose of improperly interfering with and/or distracting the goaltender as opposed to positioning himself to try to make a play."

I saw Pronger put his hand up to Kipper's face, but I don't think he was ever facing him???

He wasnt facing Kipper he was facing the blueline and he was clearly directing Richards with the puck. His arm wasnt even up for maybe a second or two.

Now I need to see the video again.

It would seem that the Ref thought that Pronger was trying to pull an "Avery" and distract Kipper based on Pronger's history as a player.

Like I said, I don't recall Pronger having his hand up in Kipper's face while facing him, and he might of never realized that Kipper's face was there at all?

It is a still so you can't tell if he is pointing or waving or just holding his hand there. You can see he is not facing the goalie.

Looking at Richards directing him to move behind the net. His arm goes down and then the goal is scored about 3 seconds later. How should he be liable for where Kipper is positioned if he's not even facing him? His arm was in the air for no more than a quick second. Its not like he was standing there obviously waving his arms obnoxiously.

Perhaps being in OT and shorthanded, Kipper saw a golden chance to pander to the Ref for a penalty, and it worked?

Not saying that is what happened, but it makes you wonder.
