The NFC North is extremely overrated

The Packers are not a deep team at all. They have a great QB, but they have not really fixed their poor defense and lost Woodson who was good at forcing turnovers. They also lost their best offensive lineman for the year which was poor to begin with.

The Bears should be decent but you never know with a new coach coming in.

The Vikings have a terrible QB, an average defense and a great RB, but that combination does not contend for championships.

The Lions are a wildcard. They have talent but an idiot of a head coach.

I would say it is the most competitive division, but I see a lot of 9-7 to 7-9 teams.

I think the hype derives from 3-4 players... Rodgers, Petersen, Johnson, and not sure who from the Bears. As long as those 3 players are on top of their game, then that division will always look good because of that. They are the best players at their respective positions. But I agree, without those players it's kind of a toss up. Still, like you said, it's a very competitive division with good rivalries.

Who is rating this division highly? If we are rated highly it is because we send 2 teams to the playoffs most years.

If you are saying it is the "toughest" I have to agree. Most skilled top to bottom...maybe 2nd or 5th some where in there.

I think the AFC North is the overall best division with only one shitty team. NFC North has a shitty team but they do not have the top end talent of the AFC North.

All that being said a couple years ago when we sent 3 teams to the playoffs and the 4th was not horrible I think the NFC north was the best division. Today not so much. Time tells all though.

For the most part it's littered with shitty o-line play.

None of these team are a complete average team. I see Minny being the most average on both sides of the ball. Detroit and GB both have good a offense but no defense, Chicago is just bad on offense and average on defense and that's a stretch. Minny has an average offense just because of their o-line and AP, their defense is about average as well, with good pass rusher and decent LB play.

Idk about extremely but I agree...all of those teams have very good players but like nearly every other team in the NFL they have some holes...MIN I think will struggle on the road b/c they are not proven @ QB. DET, do they have a back 4? Packers & Bears have OL concerns.

What they have are some good QBs, and the best WR & RB in the game.

Im confident that GB's defense will be at least top 12 this year. If they can perform at that level their offense will carry them.

The Packers just lost their best RB for the year.

Lacy was a decent draft pick, so we will see about their running game.

Harris is not their best back. He was last season but he doesn't offer any more than Lacy. Lacy is the superior blocker too.

Lacy has not even played a game yet. He dropped out of the first round because he was known to be lazy. He could turn out to be good, he could just as easily be out of the NFL and flipping burgers in 5 years. But atleast you knew what you were getting in Harris and it is nice to have an insurance policy.

I say the Vikings take the division this year. They're the Bengals of the NFC, who are like the 49ers were when Alex Smith was at the helm. They have a ton of talent but an average QB.

Imo, the talent level is a bit closer to that Titans team in 2009 that had Chris Johnson, ran for 2,000yds and went 8-8

I don't think you can call the NFC North overrated, when you had 3 teams win at least 10 games.
All have improved 1 way or the other. And the 4th team Detroit also , dramatically improved their team. Though I still think their coach, won't know what to do w/ the improvements.
NFC West & North both had 2 post season showings. The West is getting the pub. Because of the rooky QBs & a couple good Ds.
I expect the NFL to catch up on the read option. Which will bring the NFC West down a notch. Though their Ds will still be some thing to behold.
I expect the North to be a dominate division again.
Especially w/ Trestman leading my Bears. Imagine a Bears O to go along w/ that D and STs.:omg:

Bears are average on defense??? Now that is just a stupid comment.

hahahahahahaha

Last year the Packers were ranked 11th in total yards and 11th in points per game. I dont see any reason that they wont be even better. Lacy doesnt have to be good but if he gets carries our offense will eat up more time which will make the defense even better because they wont be on the field as much.

That isnt a tough connection to make. However keep underestimating them as we sweep the Bears again this year.
