Yeah, I thought defensively the Canadians played very well last night. When you're having trouble stringing together consecutive passes, that's the kind of defensive performance you need to advance to the knockout stage at a World Cup.

Here was that waterman play. Pepe looked to have him on skates turning him inside out but great recovery with no contact


Ivory Coast was a good test. It was an ugly game but good to play a fast physical African team. They looked faster than Canada and speed is what Canada is known for. Mind you the starting 11 for Canada were mostly B squad
