Yeah, the commish is very short sighted and thinks his league is the crown jewel of soccer. If he embraced all the smaller and grass roots stuff he could really grow the overall brand.

Yup, one of the guys I know who bought the packages brought me to the home opener. Said how he got it as part of package to get the Messi game, and I casually said "if he shows".
His face dropped a bit, and I felt kid of bad.

I maybe, maybe would've bought same-day tickets off a resale site if he had been listed in the starting lineup and ready to go. I've never seen him play live and even though it's in the tail end during his stint in the who cares league it's a bucket list item checked.

But yeah some of the stories of what people did to get this one ticket...whoops.
