Germany 4 Thailand nil - Those Germans scored 15 goals in their three group games Abby, they seem to be handling the turf quite well.

Cote d'Ivoire lost 3-1 to Norway, but how about this brilliant strike for the lone Ivory Coast goal:

With all due respect to Christine Sinclair, the best player on Canada is Kadeisha Buchanan.

Yup, that was the one I as referring to - That hit was akin to a receiver going high for a hospital pass and a cornerback cutting out the legs from under him. In one kind of football, that hit is fine, but not in the game I was watching last night.

Just put a horse's head in Blatter's bed...

Scala, head of FIFA’s audit and compliance committee, is urging Blatter not to consider back-tracking on that pledge. The 79-year-old Blatter has already reneged on a 2011 promise to leave office in 2015.
“For me, the reforms are the central topic,” Scala said in a statement. “That is why I think it is clearly indispensable to follow through with the initiated process of leadership change as it has been announced.”

FIFA election chief warns Sepp Blatter not to backtrack on decision to step down, says leadership change vital | National Post

American Outlaws have taken over Vancouver and sold out tonights Nigeria USA game

/on that note, on our evening stroll last night, i saw a group of them in my neck of the woods walking hesitantly into a greek restaurant for dinner last night

I guess i should have warned them about the potential for food poisoning at the place but they should have known better when they walked passed the greasy head cook outside on the street smoking a dart

/plus one of them was wearing a Landycakes shirt :noidea:

As a former professional head cook and recreational dart player, I can say the real pros are the short order cooks that can have a dart hanging out of their lips almost smoked entirely with the whole long ash just sitting there and not get any in the food they are cooking. That takes real talent.
