If Portugal and Italy both win there’s gonna be a war on the streets of Toronto July 2 lol
a little closer to home, Commercial Drive would be pretty nuts.
I used to live over there, and the street would basically shut down in World Cup and Euro times.

recall seeing multiple fistfights among septuagenarians at my local pool hall
that was a great place. a couple of TV's in the front for footie, big room of pool tables in the middle, and a couple for rooms in the back for gambling.
and if you asked for an apple juice *wink*, you got a big mug of beer.

Commercial drive (cafe calabria specifically) is where i saw a table of portuguese fans take off their shirts and put on brazil ones after a loss so id say theyre a bit softer here lmao

I imagine Commercial and that part of Burnaby where the hydrants are red white and green (at least I think this is on purpose) is gonna be nuts if Italy keeps going (and we keep re-opening). There isn’t much of a Portuguese community here unfortunately but there is a bakery in Port Moody with both an Italian and Portuguese flag out front I might stop by if this happens lol.

In Toronto the Little Italy and Little Portugal areas overlapped big time and when Portugal and Italy almost met in the Final in 2006 the police were saying publicly that they hoped Portugal lost so it wouldn’t happen because they weren’t looking forward to dealing with that. Not sure what it would be like today because that area gentrified like hell since then but I’m sure it would still be fun.

10 mins added time at the end of Brazil 1-1 Colombia.

Of course Brazil scores in the 10th of those added minutes.

That was a whale of an error.
No doubt. Wales looked great the first 15 or so minutes then seemingly decided to stop playing with energy. Let’s be honest, they are not playing a powerhouse in Denmark.

Yeah, not a lot of big names on the Danish team, but they appear to be very well organized.
