Also, Pot 1 is loaded for bear while Pot 4 seems a little light.

tremendous stuff at stadio olimpico

Roma draw Bate 0-0 and advance on 6 points :pound:

stadium announcer "La Roma agli ottavi di Champions League” > "ROMA HAVE ADVANCED TO THE KNOCKOUT ROUND OF THE CHAMPIONS LEAGUE!"

everyone in the stadium starts whistling lol ... home fans not happy with their team

Ma la protesta dei tifosi giallorossi continua. Altri cori, tra cui “C’avete rotto il ca**o” canta tutto lo stadio.

translation: but the fan protest doesnt stop there, other start singing "you guys broke our dicks" (literal vulgar expression translation which effectively means "we're sick of you guys" but in a more forceful way because if someone really did break your dick youd be very angry with them lol
Roma are fucking terrible under Garcia. Don't know how they haven't fired his ass yet, especially considering how many times in the past Ancelotti has said he wants to manage Roma someday.

Meanwhile, Porto get ten points and its Europa time! Guess Italy was owed one after Napoli got 12 pts and didn't advance a few years back.

Canada edges Mexico in penalties and they qualify for the U20 Women's World Cup.

England and Wales together in the same group should be fun. Italy is in a tough group.

For a split second I thought Portugal and Italy were finally gonna meet. Toronto Police surely breathing a sigh of relief.

Can still happen in the second round, though. Portugal has to have the easiest group in the history of international soccer and would really, really have to Portugal themselves to not finish first. After that, what should be an even match against either Belgium or Italy, followed by the winner of Group B or the third placed team that upsets them.

No complaints here. Also makes it much easier for me and my paisan to go to the first games since Italy-Belgium is in Lyon and Portugal-Iceland is in Saint-Etienne 50 km's away.

Few notes:
  • ArsenLOL.
  • Chelsea-PSG is becoming a great rivalry.
  • Some Serie A people must have really pissed off some UEFA folks. Christ.
  • AVB back to torment Benfica some more.

Bayern - Juve is going to be a heck of match (really a shame these two teams are meeting this early).

France, Portugal and Russia are in a 3-way battle for coefficient positioning, too. If Zenit beat Benfica I'm guessing Russia gets the last 3-qualifier spot. Not that the Portuguese clubs have done a fucking thing with that, but...

Then again, the Italians have qualified 3 teams for the group stage only once in the past 4 seasons. Maybe nobody deserves these spots?
