Dennis Smith Jr. and Jayson Tatum looked really good.

Lonzo didn't perform very well.

Kuzma looked ok for his limited minutes.

John Collins needs to start.

Swanigan and Donovan Mitchell....meh

Josh Jackson....weak

How do you pronounce this guy's first name?

Is it Dee-A-A-Ron? Darrin? Dee-aaron?

DSJ, Simmons, Fox, Tatum, Markkenan balled out.

DSJ will get Roy.

My money is on Simmons after watching him play against Washington.

DSJ is going to have a very good year. But, it is a good player on a bad team kind of thing. Simmons looks like he can be a transcendent player. He has a gear that I don't think anybody else in the rookie class can touch.

On a semi-related note, Fultz looked bad. His shot is completely broken. Without a jump shot, Fultz is a league average player at best.

Lonzo is young and lanky and skinny... he's gonna get pushed around and bodied as a rookie.

I tried arguing this point in certain off-season threads where folks seemed to have wild expectations for his production out of the gate... eventually, I gave up. And who am I to be a wet blanket, anyways?... the off-season is the time for dreamin'. :D

If Beverly's attitude is consistent for players in the league, Ball better talk to his dad and tell him to shut up for a while.

Do you have a minute to talk about Joe Burrow?

Dennis Smith Jr, John Collins, and Donovan Mitchell seem to get it.

No insult towards Kyle Kuzma because I actually like him better than all of them, but no way I see him getting quality minutes in that logjam.

I think he's overwhelmed and gimp.

But, he looked like he has zero athleticism and average.

It was hidden better because of Simmons, Embiid, Covington being sensational.

On a separate note, I didn't like how Washington played.

Wall doesn't need to be Westbrook.

Porter looks ready to take the next step and Oubre is gonna be a stud.

John has weapons, use them.

Honestly, Kuzma should start over Ingram.

But, it won't happen.

He looked bad last night.

Then again, most PGs do against Beverly. Bad opening night matchup.

I thought he did ok considering that his first real NBA game was against arguably the best defensive pg in the league who also has a big ol' chip on his shoulder too.

He kept his composure, continued to move the ball and didn't get sucked into trying to get into a 1 on 1 game with Beverley.

The team shooting better than 40% from the field would have helped his cause a bit too.
