I think if the NL adopted the DH, you would see a different kind of roster construction.
If the NL ever intends to compete with the AL, they need to play the same game. Untll then, the NL will keep fucking around with AAAA relievers, a whole list of .208 utility "DH" guys ... and managers that think the sacrifice bunt is modern baseball.
The AL is never going to scrap the DH. Pitchers can't hit and they don't know how to bunt. They can't run bases either.
