Not even close. The AAC is historically The Best conference. We had 3 teams in the Final Four one year. Now we sit around 5th or 6th best with 4 auto-bids or so.

Wofford at ETSU is a huge game. Wofford still has a great case as an at large, if they keep winning.

ETSU is a top 60 team in KenPom. Essentially no different than playing at Minnesota, Arkansas, ASU or Butler. I don't think Wofford would be favored against any of them in a true road environment. It actually makes them look good IMO that's it's basically a pick em.

Yeah ETSU is solid. I just thought wofford would be a 2-3 of favorite as I believe they're top 30 in kenpom thenselves ( I rhino either right ahead of or righg behind Marquette ).

I think they are going to at least have to beat Nevada to make a case IMO. Right now they don't have a win over an at large caliber team.

I'm interested a lot in then because their metrics are good but ( as you stated ) no really great wins . It'll be a good look at how the committee is valuing teams with the new tools

Southern Conference is so good at the top this year

UNCG was a legit dumpster fire when Wes Miller took over. It took Miller a little while to get things turned around, but the results of the last 3 seasons speaks for itself.

I'm really hoping it's a 2 bid league this year with what's happening with the Pac 12, A-10 and Mtn. West. Wofford, UNCG, ETSU and Furman are all capable of winning the league tournament. If those 4 make the semi's, that's going to be a hell of a semi. I think Wofford, UNCG and Furman all could make a case for an at large.

They are 27 in NET, 24 in BPI, 29 in Massey. If we're projecting to let teams like NC State and Auburn in, they have to be ahead of teams like that in the pecking order.
