In a season where nothing was expected, who would have thought it would come down to a kicker. Bottom line is to always have a good kicker.

I would go Kool-Aid First, Mims in the Second, then the Edge and the LB from Notre Dame in the Third, because if we lose Morris, we will get two Third Rounders which will give us three in the Third. Presently we have our own picks in Rounds One through Five. Then, we don't have our own sixth but have Denver's for the Kenny Young trade. We are expected to get comp picks in Round Six and Seven (2 each) for players that left. Suddenly, we have a boatload of picks.

Everything depends on the DC really. I prefer Cooper Dejean for CB in the first (not sure Kool-Aid is a fit, scheme-wise), but really the best available CB/Edge/OT available at 19 is a worthy pick (unless someone surprising slides to them).

Rams don't have their 4th rounder, traded to Pittsburgh for Dotson and their 5th (along with a 2025 pick swaps).

I would love for us to pick Jared Verse, but I think he'll be long gone by #19

He could be there (depends on what style Edge the other teams want), but I agree he's a worthy pick. I figure there will probably be 4 QBs, 3 WRs, a TE, 4 OT, 3 Edge, 3 DBs off the board (approx). No RBs, no LBs likely. There's usually what at least seems like a reach (or two) in the mix, so the Rams need to take advantage if so.

I doubt it... He's they type of guy who should shine at the combine and private workouts which could even bring him into the top ten. But I hope I'm wrong and he is there when we pick. :suds:

Here is my latest. I traded up with Chicago since they have (2) top 10 picks because there are only a few legit OT’s in this draft, but the draft is deep at DB/S which is the Rams other big need. The FA market isn’t deep at OT, with the ones likely to be available being older/injury prone. I feel the Rams will address the Edge position in FA since there will be a bunch of quality guys available.

I did have to trade our 2nd next year to move up to 9. Then made a few smaller trades to gain more picks.

And here’s one without trades.

Not too shabby ALR. If Snead pulls that off, he won't take Fashanu at 9. He will take Notre Dame's Joe Alt, Williams' teammate. We got find a way to get Mims. He is a Steve Avila only at tackle.

This is a really good summation article about resolving our issues on both sides of the ball. This draft is loaded on a number of positions. There is growing reports that Brian Burns is being targeted by the Rams and if that happens, say goodbye to Verse.

Since RaheemShitferBrains is leaving and he is black, the Rams will get two Third Round picks as compensation: One Third Rounder this year and one next year. Here is the update of our 2024 draft picks so far. More changes to follow as our comp picks for players leaving will be assigned later.
