Things are falling into place as the Lakers now want to convert Kokolo's Two-way contract to a regular one. Kokolo has been playing very well of late and it looks like he will join the regulars and provide scoring and Defense off the bench. He will join Hayes as back-up and the bench roster. Good move at the right time.

According to an insider, there Lakers would like to convert one of their two-way players to a standard deal and make him available for the playoffs.

Lakers do still need to add some depth at guard, preferably a 3&D guy (as usual lol). Cut Wood loose and add someone, maybe Josh Richardson, Chris Duarte, or fan favorite Lonnie Walker...

Kokolo has been playing very well of late...

Has he? He had the second-best game of his career 5 weeks against Portland with 8 points, 8 rebounds, and 3 assists in half a game, but since then he has totaled 14 pts and 6 rebounds in over a month. That's not his fault, necessarily, because he hasn't been allowed on the court -- hell he hasn't even dressed for most games -- but I can't imagine how one could say that he's been playing well. Maybe in practice.

You fail to consider that he is a Two-Way player and has done quite well in the G-league when he is not playing on the regular playing roster. When he has played with the regular roster, he has been playing well.

No, was saying they already had a 3 & D player, but they traded him and now need to find another 3 & D player.

And yes, I did hate they had to trade Christie away. Would’ve rather they found a way to keep him because he was developing nicely and played good defense.

Well, they hadn’t invested as much in Knecht as they did Christie, plus Knecht didn’t play defense like Christie.

Christie was by far the bigger loss.
