I'm not picking them to beat the Packers in the playoffs, even if the game is in Carolina. But I still think they're legit, will win the division and probably get a 1st round bye.

I think they're legit... They were a playoff team last year so I don't think it's a surprise there doing good... Still early though, second half they might hit some bumps in the road...

Good team but lack of WR's for Cam to throw to will cost them against a good defense.

Idk why they don't go out and make a trade for one, when Ted Ginn is your best WR you got problems.

This! Cam has a tendency to throw a bit high, one reason I think they didn't resign Smith a couple years back. Cam with a tall WR that can climb the ladder and snag his errant over throws would make them very scary.

I'll give them credit for 7-0 but they've definitely benefited from their schedule as well. Their 1st 4 games were Jacksonville, Houston, New Orleans (back when they were still very bad), and Tampa Bay. How much more cake can you feed to a schedule?

Still, Cam seems to be finding his stride a little more than seasons passed and Kuechly is always a force on defense. How they managed to win in Seattle looking at the 1st 3 quarters, I don't know, but they did.

That Monday night game though looked like it should have been put away early but they let the Colts get back in and were a play from losing. There are chinks in the armor of the Panthers and they have a big test against Green Bay coming up.

^^^^^ This could be said for all 7 games. At the time the Hawks were 2-4, Eagles 3-4, and Indy 3-5. Not one team had a winning record.

Cannot absorb that mega - contract. It still has 3 years on it. While he is still a very good WR, one has to wonder if he is on the downside hill of his career. It is hard to determine with the dysfunctional way the Lions are playing this year.

Benjamin going down really hurts. He's likely to be Carolina's #1 for many years to come, barring any set backs? So getting a legit #1 in the meantime is highly unlikely unless it's a one year rent a player type contract. Carolina is probably better off going after a legit #2 and hope that's enough to get them to the big dance?

Trades in the nfl....they don't really happen often. I don't see them trading for anyone. Maybe Anquan Boldin, but he's injured supposedly (which is odd because he's never hurt).

Who knows. I expected a blowout last night against a gimpy Luck and company, but they nearly lost the game and had to miracle a comeback in OT.

As mentioned already, the lack of receivers is a concern but even with better guys, Cam isn't the most accurate of passers. The difference on offense so far is his ability to tuck and run, and having Stewart get 100 yards per game. Teams are going to start stacking the box more frequently.

Funchess isn't the first option but he drops everything thrown his way, meaning teams can key in on Olson and Ginn (who has his own ball control problems).

Defense is pretty sick, but an injury to a player like Kuechly or Ealy could be the difference between a division winner and an 8-8 wildcard team.

Does anyone else feel like the Panthers would be destroyed by the other 3 undefeated teams? Perhaps I just haven't seen much of them but man, that looked like my Chargers last night - except for the ending, lol.

90% of their schedule is against below .500 teams. They will Patriot their way into a first round bye.

Their not a team that really scares me either home or away. However that defense is for real.
