He's the most overrated/overhyped one year wonder the league has ever seen. Around my part of CO. he still gets way too much credit
Every donkey fan I've met, liked him.

You forgot to include his come from behind victories. Which just happens to be the way you would want him.

It doesn't make sense from a production standpoint (he has been out of the league for nearly a decade, and is pretty undersized compared to most TE's in the league). It does make sense from a PR standpoint. The storyline can sell tickets, merch, and maybe entice an extra sunday night, monday night, or Thursday night game from the NFL. Also, it might help distract some criticism of Lawerence in his first year. He and the Jags are likely to have the same results that Peyton Manning and the Colts had in year one. I imagine it will be ugly for Urban in year 1.

Why did you chop off part of my comment? The numbers don't lie.

He was 7-4 as starter, only completed 46.5% of his passes, threw 6 int's & had a league leading 14 fumbles. In those two playoff games he only completed 40.4% of his passes.

When he was a starter for that one season the Tebow-mania around here was off the charts. I'm not badmouthing him. Just going by what the numbers say. Statistically he wasn't good.

Urban owed Timmy a courtesy reach around for not teaching him how to throw in college. About all this amounts to, that a ticket sales.

Ninkovich, four years retired, still feels that he would more than hold his own against Tebow, who has had multiple workouts for the Jaguars as a tight end and is expected to sign with Jacksonville. However, Ninkovich is not counting on the former quarterback to make the Jaguars' 53-man rostet

"If you threw a helmet and shoulder pads on me, and I haven't played in four years, I would be able to throw around Tim Tebow as a tight end," Ninkovich said on Get Up!, via Sam Marsdale of 247Sports.

They’re the worst team in the league with a new coach and new QB.

Attention from a local star isn’t the worst thing for them. Now if this were a contender, it could be a bigger issue.

For those complaining, does it really matter if they go 4-12 with or without Tebow?

Honestly, the more I think about it, I don't think I see Tebow even making the final roster. This has generated enough PR for the Jags already (both positive and negative), so he'll probably remain on the roster till the last week or two before the season officially begins. I just don't see him being big enough to play the TE position. Maybe a slot receiver, but even then, I don't think he has the skill set to succeed there either.

I think this will be all but forgotten by the last week of August, and Tebow will officially be retired from professional sports for good (as a player).

I didn't forget to include anything. You seem to think he was good QB. But the numbers say otherwise.

basically, tebowmania has subsided. he's stayed in shape trying to play minor league baseball and most people have forgotten he has existed, meanwhile he's still funneling money into charities.

he's a good athlete, and he can play QB if both of your QBs go down in a game, god forbid. he probably won't see the field more than a few snaps a game, he's a backup Tight End.

basically, it's the league making up for blackballing him out of the league for drawing too much attention to himself. there's no reason he couldn't have been a backup QB on at least one team, less talented people have already filled those jobs.

You either forgot his positive records at Denver, or intentionally omitted them. Which is it?

Tebow will see time as a Wildcat QB and a TE....maybe even as a FB.

You have used won-loss record to justify other QB's....he led Denver to a 7-4 record in 2011 and a win over Pitt in the playoffs.
