Yes, it is. I never was a Smoak fan.

I remember some fans thought it was ridiculous to trade Smoak and Beaven for Lee and Lowe. For Lee? You have to be kidding me. That was a great trade and huge in getting us to finally win a playoff series for the first time in our history (10/12/2010) and make it to the WS.

One of JDs finest moments and definitely put us on the map. Lee kicking himself for leaving I would wager. No ring for him.

Looking for that kind of magic this off season.

Lee I felt was a little bit of a coward because he really felt like the weight of the Rangers making it back to the WS was on him and by going to Philly he had Halladay and Hamels to help carry the load. I would have loved to have him for 2011 but not for the money and years he wanted.

Could use the magic is right though for this off season.

JD realized after the Lee negotiations that you have to grow your own top of the rotation type pitchers. I look forward to our rotation sometime in 2016 of Darvish, Holland, Perez, Chi Chi, and Thompson with the ability to trade Tepesch, Martinez, and Jackson if those first 5 remain healthy. Our pitching looks very promising even without having to land a big name pitcher in free agency.

Could have been all the difference for that year. Accent on the words 'could have been'. Oh well!

He did well. They had some hard hot balls for outs. I just think NT will always be about a 4-5 ERA guy. He just doesn't miss the bat very often it seems.

I do not see him as a 5 ERA guy. I think he could be in the 3.75 range though. It is okay to pitch to contact if you are making good pitches and they are not getting good wood on it.

Same thing could happen to Yu if we don't put some quality pitchers around him. He could bolt first chance. Sure he felt some weight this year.

Three hits tonight for Alfaro inclding a double. Williams hit a triple and Gallo got another HR.

A really good looking line for Asher also. 6 scoreless innings, 3 hits and no walks with 6 strike outs.

I think both nicks and Jackson all will be decent MLB pitchers. I really wonder if Jackson is hurt with all of the problems he is having right now.

I would like to see Jackson back at Frisco with what we have there. Like to keep those guys together as much as possible. And would be a good comparison with each pitcher Jackson/Rodriguez/Asher/Thompson.
