Remember when the Steelers were celebrating their superbowl victory and they changed "we day" and 90% of Steeler fans were gloating about Carson Palmer's injury. Like that was even more important than actually beating Seattle. (because we were the best team that year) they've become kindler and gentler since then.

To be fair, can you remember the last time the Bengals beat the Steelers without knocking one of their players out of the game? These teams just plain hate eachother, so the games are going to be much more physical by nature of the rivalry. I was fully expecting chippiness. I wasn't expecting the back alley brawl that we witnessed.
