At one point, the Patriots had 1 pass and 42 rushes.

I liked the interception by # 8.

It's disheartening watching all these CFB games today and seeing an injury stoppage every few minutes.

BlueMoon_76 (Jazz fan from the ESPN boards) was at the Rose Bowl.

Knowing how the game ended, I sympathize.

Very deflating to see a win snatched away in person.

(I wonder if @MHSL82 punches his couch on some bad sports moments.)

I am rarely that excited by QB play, and long passes, because it's more lucky than great, to me.

(Same reason I feel about 1/2 court or full court shots in basketball).

But that Allen TD at 1:54, AND the 2 point conversion, were creating something, out of very little, in a way that I've rarely seen.

Pet Peeve: Get away from your teammate when there’s a clear path to the end zone. Especially in college where you are down by knees touching the ground. I haven’t seen friendly fire trip ups by teammates but I always worry it will happen to my team.

How does the clock work at the end of a quarter? Does the ball have to be snapped before the clock reads 0:00?

Or does a team have to score before 0:00?

Look at all the stuff that's happening when there's 0:00 in the 4th quarter clock!

Also, how does the clock work on an incomplete pass? Does it stop as soon as the pass is not caught? Or does a player have to touch the missed ball? Or does a team have to have possession of the missed ball, and then be "down" on the field for the clock to stop?

The ball must be snapped before zero seconds on the clock. If they do, the play is not over until an incomplete pass is thrown out of bounds, or hit the ground or someone is tackled with the ball or touched on the ground with the ball.

Incomplete passes stop the clock. You can stop the clock by spiking the ball, throwing it directly in the dirt. Kneeling does not stop the clock. Some QBs have accidentally knelt when they meant to spike. QBs have faked spikes and then thrown a pass.

I think your scenarios of a play continuing beyond the incomplete pass is rugby.
