A lot of fights broke out over flag planting this weekend. What do you all think should happen going forward?

Yeah, Oregon and Texas did it to Michigan (I was at the Oregon game) and it didn't bother me. They were the better teams. OSU is more than welcome to do so if they win next year in Ann Arbor. It's like pitchers getting upset at bat flips/home run celebrations. Don't like it? Throw a better pitch next time.

Any player caught planting a flag at an opposing stadium is suspended for rest of the season and banned from receiving NIL money for 2 full calendar years.

Any coach/fan/cheerleader who tries it earns a lifetime ban from college football.

Problem solved. You’re welcome.

So you’re pro losing home games and having losers feelings protected?

Losing at home is inevitable.

Being a no class clown like Terrell Owen’s is not.

Class doesn’t win games.

And TO still got millions from the Cowboys years down the road.

Fighting after games should be against the rules.
They were about to enter the tunnel and turned around. Only issue I have was the Michigan player running around the OSU players with the flag.

Gee, I'm real surprised at who facepalmed your post.

One question. Is planting your flag taunting?
I don't think it can be, if the game is over. If you did it BEFORE the game, yeah, I can see a flag being thrown for that.

I think the whole thing is pretty silly. Grown men sticking a pole with a piece of cloth on it into the ground -- silly. Grown men getting upset that some other grown man stuck a pole with a piece of cloth on it into the ground after beating your ass -- double silly.

People want to call it a "disrespect" thing. I think it's a "small penis having" thing.

I agree it's all silly.

How about these young men just learn to lose with class? We all lose at some point, you can’t behave like a little bitch because the other side celebrates.

copycat tactics were poorly initiated after that scUM @ tOSU game...
  • genesis of the "flag plant" taunt goes back to 2004 Notre Dame @ MSU... ND won 31-24... during post game celebrations some dickhead domer raised the ND banner on the field (close to the sidelines, but on the field)... regardless, MSU folks did not appreciate the disrespect.
  • In 2005 MSU upset #10 ND 44-41... two MSU linebackers took a block S banner to the middle of the 35 and poked it - (cameras panned the crowd - I've never seen so many horrified, het up haters as that crowd contained... was memorably delicious.) After a couple more "flag planting incidents" I thought the ncaa ruled "not cool, no can do." and that was that.
  • In 2010 was an article in the Detroit paper about ND fans "still smarting after that MSU flag planting thing 5 years earlier." lol,,, you want irritation?, I'll give you irritation... no kidding. Gave me an idea that earned me some cheese in the collegiate licensed products business - produce inexpensive little MSU yard flags to plant in every yard in South Bend, Columbus, Ann Arbor, etc. on game day.
  • lol... and now the Nuts and Skunkbears are recreating the classlessness of it all
