The Ertz injury is a concern

Zach Ertz has a "core muscle injury", sounds like a partial groin tear, and is having surgery. He will miss the rest of the preseason but is expected back by week one.

I guess it's good to get this repaired now, and not let it linger, but I worry he is not going to be 100% this season now, which sucks because he looked to be on the cusp of that breakout season we can all see in his future.

On a positive note, they do have Celek and Burton so they can afford to bring him back slowly, but Ertz and Matthews are the best receivers on this team and they need to be on the field more this year than last year, period.

Not worried yet, but hopeful that it is minor, and he will be starting early on. Good point, that we have depth, but Celek is on the downside, and Burton is a WR playing TE. Could be worse though, as you said.

Bradford, unfortunately, is not a tightend guy. He never throws to them.

You can't compare what he did in St.Louis. He will run the plays that Chip calls.

Yeah other than two years in which his OU tight end had double digit TDs...

In bradford's defense, Kendricks is more of a blocking TE and Cook couldn't catch a ball even with sticky gloves

It is a concern. I feel bad for him after all the hard work he put in. AFAIK those type of injuries tend to linger.

I had Bradford a couple years in fantasy (2 QB leagues), and I watched a good amount of his games. He didn't look like he shied away from his TE's at all, he seemed to have great ball placement on those intermediate routes to his TE's IMO -- only problem was his TE's (like his WRs) had stones for hands.

True - but then again, at least the smart thing has been done in shutting him down right now. And as sad as it is to see him go down, the team should be good enough to survive until he gets back.
