I know we here this talk every year and I typically avoid it, in fact I loated it in 2007, but I have watched the Donks twice this year an I firmly believe this team could go undefeated. They are absolutely loaded on offense with one of the best QBs ever, the defense is solid and they have a schedule that is friendly. What say you?

My guess is they have at least one let down game where they have a couple of fumbles or something that cost them against a good team. They have 3 road games against pretty good teams in New England, KC, and Houston that are going to be tough to win all 3. Yes they have the offense, defense, and special teams to go undefeated but it really is tough for a team to be on fire all year long. It always seems like the best teams in the league have that one or two let down games. I just remember Green Bay when they were cruising through their schedule then lost to a pretty bad Chiefs team.

I honestly don't mind if they lose 1 or 2 games this year. The pressure of being undefeated when you go into the playoffs just adds that much more to have to win it all.

Yeah it is always best to go into the post season hot.

I know it sure sucked when the Pats lost, but a defeat levels heads back out it's just can't be in the SB. I think the NE game they win we just can't match them point for point, the Texans need a QB and again I don't think can match the them point for point. KC is interesting that team is pretty damn good. We will see but if I were to put a % on it I think 85% they can go unbeaten.

I believe there was a similar thread a week or 2 ago where I stated, let's see how Peyton is holding up in week 12/13. He's not young and he tends to play considerably worse when the weather turns. Let's see if he's 100% in December.

Ravens (2-2), Giants (0-4), Raiders (1-3), Eagles (1-3)

The Ravens led at halftime before imploding. Manning is playing awesome and they definitely look like the team to beat right now, but it's WAY too early for the undefeated talk. They have a decent, but suspect defense who could have trouble on the road in New England, San Diego, Dallas, Indy, or Houston. They have a backup left tackle in for the year who could be exposed against great pass rushing teams like KC, Dallas, and Houston. KC in December is no picnic when they're playing well. Sure, they'll win some of those games, but undefeated? Not a chance.

Over the last 5 years Peyton has close to a 100 quarterback rating in the month of December so not sure he "Tends" to play considerably worse when the weather turns. IF you want to say well some of that was with Indy playing in the dome well last year with the Broncos in the month of December (5 games) he went 123-174 for 1399 yards with 11 touchdowns to only 3 interceptions for a quarterback rating of 108.4...Considering he finished the season at 105 quarterback rating I would say he got better by the month of December.

Good thing they actually have a run game this year.

Yes, having one of the best passing attacks in history will open things up in the run game, but it remains to be seen if it's good enough to lean on for a whole game. 13th in the league while the opposing defense is throwing everything but the cheerleaders into coverage is hardly earth shattering.

I understand your thought on this and I agree it isn't earth shattering but it is still better than what the Broncos had last year. In the playoffs when Moreno went down for the game they were running with Hillman weighing about 170 pounds at that time as their primary back. Throw in he was a rookie and the Ravens knew even though they were losing the Broncos had become one-dimensional. Barring injuries the Broncos should at least have the threat of running the rest of the season. They also have a few more weapons in the pass game than they had last year in Julius Thomas and Wes Welker. The starting TE and Stokley last year were not horrible by any means but those two guys are huge difference makers in this offense in the Broncos have a better threat running over the middle and running the short routes for Peyton.

I tend to agree, but this was a thread about going undefeated. The run game isn't so dominant it could carry them in some bad weather during the playoffs.

Doesn't Peyton have some terrible record when it's below 40 degrees? Maybe I'm remembering wrong, too lazy to look it up, regardless, no they won't go undefeated.

Peyton Manning is a fallacy created by insecure Patriot fans because of two bad postseason games in foxboro.
