It's just flat out fucking lazy writing. Sure, we're getting to the end of the season and ideas might be running out, but doesn't what is on the line induce any fire at all from these hacks!

Aint it the truth. I love it when a team wins a series and a reporter ask a coach or player "What team would you rather face in the next round"? Once,just ONCE I would like to hear the response, "oh I would definitely like to play <insert team> because I know damn well we'll kick their ass all over the ice and finish them in four"

That would give them something to write about.

That game 6 loss in OT to the Bolts still stings. Flames had their chances, but the Bulin wall outplayed Kipper in games 6 and 7. Whatever happens, Flyers fans should be very proud of their team.

What did this writer expect, the Hawks NOT to treat it like an elimination game? By treating it as an elimination game, you're preparing for the other team giving you their best game. Treat the game as anything else and you might get your ass kicked.
