Considering it's the same day as the SuperBowl, I will be very disappointed if the only thing we see is the Dude in a commercial.

I echo those who don't want a Lebowski 2. The Dude is a legend and that movie is a classic, a sequel or prequel would be a huge letdown.

No need for a sequel. Wouldn't necessarily tarnish the original. I don't have a problem with Caddyshack because of it's sequel for example. There is a Jesus spinoff that may or may not come out. Hasn't been updated in a while.

I think it started as a cult classic and grew into a timeless one that spans most every demographic. I mean, 20 year olds know and love the movie all of these years later. Hard to say that it's a cult thing.
