I was a huge Killebrew fan as a kid. Living in California I didn't get to see him play very often, but being a paperboy, the first thing I did every morning at 4:30am was open the sports page and checkout the box scores for the Twins. I remember checking out the HR leaders in the AL and seeing how the Killer was doing against Boog, Howard, and eventually some upstart named Reggie Jackson.
I went with Puckett. Reason being, he was the total package. Hit for average, power and played a gold glove center field. Obviously a leader in the clubhouse as well.
