Well, we could include never losing to Oregon, wide open style of play, excellent defense, high entertainment factor, willing to travel anywhere, and the ability to piss off LaGarrette Blount.woudnt program include more than just W and L?
We haven't. The team hasn't made any top bowls lately, but year after year, ranked in the top 25 (#15 right now at 4-0), and quietly winning. But we get it, the big guys still consider us little brother. But that makes it more fun when the team kicks some big school's ass.So, why have you guys dropped off the map?
i was thinking more like recruiting academics facilities. you know stuff a good program hasWell, we could include never losing to Oregon, wide open style of play, excellent defense, high entertainment factor, willing to travel anywhere, and the ability to piss off LaGarrette Blount.![]()
Boise St. doesn't meet the academic requirements as in they don't offer near enough undergrad degree programs.Top 5 past 10 years on the West Coast (pac conference championship wins past 10 years)
1. Oregon (4)
2. Washington (2)
3. Stanford (3)
4. Boise State
5. USC (1)
Which is a good argument for letting Boise State into the pac. Balance them by adding BYU to the south. The pac could use the attention and new fan bases.
Stanford has more PAC-12 championships than any other PAC school. They are 3 - 1 in PAC-12 championship games. You almost had me until you said stanfurd.

Apparently you didn't read the post in the quote I was replying to.Love the PAC snobbery.
I thought that the title of the thread was
The Best Football Program West of the Rockies...
Easily top 5 the last 10 years. Name 4 better
Boise
Oregon
Washington
USC
Utah??
That's a quick list off the top of my head and in no particular order but Boise is easily in there
Ya, but you got boat raced by Alabama and had an abuser who won you the Rose Bowl.
Since when? This year? Last 5 years? All time?
If it's this year, not including Oregon is kind of silly considering they just beat Stanford on the road.
If it's the last 5 years, not saying Washington or Oregon is silly.
If it's all time, not saying USC is just flat out stupid.
What fan bases? Boise isn't going to expand either the TV revenue nor the recruiting grounds and isn't BYU already close enough to the Utes to not really add a new market there either?Top 5 past 10 years on the West Coast (pac conference championship wins past 10 years)

‘Academic snobbery’ is only part of the ‘they bring literally nothing to the table but a decent football program’ equation.BYU is too conservative for the P12, and they will use academic snobbery to block Boise (kind of like the ACC did with WVU just prior to adding the Harvard of the Midwest, Louisville).

Neither of those does a damned thing for the Pac.
We can talk about academics, endowment size, and plenty of other reasons, but Boise not having a large enough footprint for new viewers is about as big of a blow to their chances as the rest of those.
