cream always rises to the top, Breece was looking like a top 5 RB in the month leading up to his injury, I don't think there's a team that would take Bijan and not feed him
Oh there are certainly teams out there that are stupid enough that I wouldn't put anything past them. Right now I'm not even sure of a great landing spot. The Rams and Dolphins are probably the two teams with the most need, but neither of them have a freaking first round pick so that doesn't matter. A lot will be determined in free agency depending on where Barkley, Jacobs, Montgomery, Pollard, and Miles Sanders end up.

top RB drafted hit rates >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> top WR drafted hit rates
very true, even the RB's who bust, still have some sort of decent productivity for a year or two. Been a LONG time since a top RB never did squat. Even CEH wasn't a complete and utter waste of a pick, owners got decent production from him, just not what you wanted.

And that doesn't even count Jamaal Williams, Damien Harris, D'onta Foreman, Jeff Wilson, and Kareem Hunt

Just brought that up on the D2 thread, this RB FA class is going to be wild

what a knee slapper, the Phins needing a #1 to draft a RB...oh man, that's a good one.

those shitheads have pissed on the RB position for YEARS now, yep they still need one, nope, I've given up on them ever seeing the light that the position has value and they'll actually go after one. Run it back with Mostert and Jeff WIlson '23 baby!

TB and HOU finally found RBs worth a damn in the draft, hold out some hope for MIA!

I don't buy for a second TB will hand a feature back role to R. White, dude is a good flasher, good COP, and they'll need a banger when Brady is gone.

Of course that's common sense talking, and what NFL team has followed a common sense approach to the run game the past 5-10 years..except those that consistently win of course

hardly any have a featured role these days.
agree that White won't have a feature role, but also don't think Fournette (or his replacement) even take on a majority share of the snaps/touches either. White flashed enough that I think he stays in the mix for TB through his rookie deal and never know what injuries or camp battles could lead to as far as his volume in-season next fall

Just saw a mock draft that had Bijan Robinson being drafted by the Chargers in the 1st round. If there's definitely one thing they need it's a running back. LOL.

How about the one where Jets trade 2 firsts for Rodgers, GB takes Bijan and let's A.Jones walk?

I've been bored before, but never "let's make up endless mock draft scenarios with trades" bored

Will start taking more interest in those after the SB anyway

So far I've seen him going to PHI, GB, KC and BUF as well. .... in other words, who knows ?

All teams that don't need him, yet I could totally see a couple as possibilities. All while teams like Miami keep ignoring the position

it is interesting to see which positions certain teams value/devalue compared to the others. Maybe Dolphins are confused when they see that most of the SB winning teams didn't have a RB on a big contract, so they in turn don't think they should draft one either

well..
the Rams had an 2nd round RB on a rookie deal, plus traded for one
TB signed Fourney, a proven workhorse RB, prior to their win and then over paid him later
KC didn't have a real one, but they also had a unicorn at QB, and by all rights, the one they did have, should've been the SB MVP
NE had a 1st round pick at RB
Phill Specials invested in Blount and traded for Ajayi, and had Sproles

Not sure how they would look at that and not see the need to invest something in the RB position. You don't have to pay the high priced free agents, but you have to invest in something other than backup level committees- unless you have a Mahommes/Kelce/Hill trio, then maybe Jeff Wilson could get it done

Edit-
and my best guess is that this years winners, now that Buffalo is gone, will have traded for CMAC

by those standards, MIA signed Edmonds and Mostert and traded for Jeff Wilson, so they are investing something at RB

I mean we could go back further with all the other Blount, Ray Rice, Marshwan lynch's of the world..but outside of the Mahommes CHeifs, and the Peyton Manning Broncos, all the past ten years worth of SB winners made REAL investments in a REAL RB in some way shape or form

yeah but did they really? that's like saying you started day trading because you bought one share of IBM..somewhat factually accurate, but not

and I did quantify 'investing in something other than backup level committess', so 'by those standards' that I mentioned, that doens't count

Please don't think I"m having a Milk moment here, it's a friggin slow assed Monday and I'd rather talk football stuff then cold call hot tub dealers and car dealerships trying to hawk our electrical service--I'm just talking football, not trying to intentionally be dismissive of anything--

When the Eagles singed Blount, he had just led the league in rushing TD's, Ajayi was coming off a 1200+ yd 8 score season
When the Bucs singed Lombardi Lenny, he had 2 1000 yard season on his resume probably would've had 3 if injuries hadn't halved his sophomore season
The others spent higher end draft capitol

Mostert, Edmonds, Wilson..those aren't comparable resumes to consider their signings/trade being 'real' investments in the position-although the dollar value, especially on Edmonds would suggest that they tried to invest..they just did so poorly
