very likely the better long term option. Allgeier MIGHT get ample opportunity this year, with CPAT being pretty good, but still not a guy you want pounding the rock with limited passing game under Marriiota/Ridder and D. Williams having been a perpetual injury ever since the Cheifs SB win, but unless he really impresses, they'll still have a need next year, and very likely he gets replaced/commitee-ed

well..granted nothing for at least a year out of it..I've been tempted to make cheap overtures for RIdley in multiple leagues myself...although I never figured anyone would be silly enough to trade him away when hisvalue couldn't possibly be lower. I neglected to account for 'the others'

Hey I didn't even initiate that one. He just texted me, "What about Ridley for your 3.6 and 3.8?" I was just happy that neither of his targets were taken with the 3.4 and 3.5.

What's funny, is when I put the 1.9 on the block, he sent me a text that he'd give me Ridley and the 2.8 for the 1.9 and I didn't want to do that. Then a few rounds later Ridley was only worth a 3.6 and 3.8 to him? I get it though, when some guys screw you for too long you just don't even want to look at their names on your roster anymore.

well from having a helluva hard time getting #1 WR's, to scoring Lamb, Cooper, and RIdley..all with low #1's , #3's, AROB, and a future #1

Well, perhaps I'm just foolish but he made that same offer to me for the 3.5 and 3.7. I declined - I just see too much of a Josh Gordon scenario going there. ...... of course if I'd had 3 picks before those perhaps I would've bitten. ...

judging by the responses in the group text..he'd shopped this guy to multiple people. I know I'd have taken him, but then agian, I didn't have 2 #3's..but regardless, never attmepted to me.

I have gotten text responses from him, usually timely too, but never initiation

The way I figured it is that whoever I drafted at this point is going to help my team the exact same amount as Calvin Ridley this year anyway, so It's worth the risk of the upside.

Interesting how divided it is though. I texted Scott when I got the offer and he said that he'd take, Treff would have taken it, Harold would have taken it, yet Dad and at least Tim declined it.

and that's entirely plausible as well. most of teh 21 season away for 'personal reasons', all of 22 gone on a suspension..there's likely more 'personal' stuff on the horizon
