Virus aside, as Saddles pointed out there will be more teams still with a chance to make the playoffs this year than ever before. 60 games is not a lot of time for teams to gain distance from one another, plus they’ve added teams to the playoffs. So there will be like 22 potential buyers and only like 8 or so sellers. Sellers will have all the power, and there is always at least one or two teams willing to overpay for that one piece they think can put them over the top.
I don’t blame you for being optimistic about the trade market this year, but last year the twins and Yankees showed the world that they would rather lose to the astros then give us prospects for minor or lynn.
let’s hope that’s not the case this time.
